[16 Nov 2013] Italian Meeting (Rome, Italy)

Ok this is the correct way to make the event so here we are.

The closest metro station to the place is "Colli Albani" from metro line A

Ways to get to Rome:

By plane:
There are 2 Airports: Fiumicino and Ciampino.

Fiumicino is the biggest one and won't close at night (unlike Ciampino). Also from Fiumicino there's a train that gets you to the Termini station.

Also you may take a bus and get to the train station Termini from both airports so don't worry if you find a cheaper flight for Ciampino.

By train:
You may get to "Termini" station or "Tiburtina" station. I suggest you to go directly to Termini station. If you go to the other one you'll have to take the metro line B and get to termini to switch line and go where you need to go.


Once you get to "Termini" train station you may get both metro lines.
Take the metro line A "Anagnina" direction and your stop will be "Colli Albani"!!

Where stay at night:
There are some Bed & Breakfast nearby the zone

Ok guys I did some research for some hotel near the location: I think it's better to book rooms for 4 or more, it's cheaper and we will be together, so we have less risk to be lost lol

I' would like to book this WE, so I need three persons who will be there for sure, I'm staying for 2 nights ( tuesday night and saturday night, from 15th nov to 17th nov). People who will stay longer can book separately from sunday 17th.
Or you can book for a longer time, and I will fit in, I'm not big
It's gonna be around 25-30 euros per night per person.

When you'll book keep in mid that going North-West off that point you'll get closer to the centre of Rome.

Well at least I will not be lost and worried about not understanding the langage in a non-english city .
I just look at the venue, how many set ups are there ? They already have the console with the game, or players are bringing their own stuffs ? Do we have 20 players at least now ?

 

More importantly: ps3 or 360?

 

we can have both, since the majority play on xbox360 we will arrange those console. If there's enough demand to have a ps3 setup just let us know.

 

GFA is confirmed , so for now, we are 4 frenchies coming for your asses.

The venue was great, many thanks for Ricci8 for that! Also big thanks to the english guys for letting me crash at their place for my last night! Hope you guys enjoyed the last of the pepernoten

I had some nice sets with most people, that was fun! I was quite surprised to find my Lau doing so well despite not having used him in ages! Even went toe to toe with kingo (until he brought the 66p ringout madness at the end ). I guess the old man is right for me after all!

I think this group of Euro-VFers we have together now is absolutely awesome. I remember last year nothing was happening whatsoever. Kingo was still rumored to be a bot! xD And now we have this group of people who are quite dedicated at making the journey to different places and playing VF and just having fun The VF part doesn't even seem like the biggest priority anymore. Just awesome guys, let's keep this up! Maybe Cannes again next year? If VF is there? Then we'll kick Itazan's ass and tell him to keep playing Soul Calibur

Sorry for being a scrub, it was like my first trip by plane, I didn't know my phone couldn't get calls and messages outside of my country unless I enable a particular option ( now it's done, for my next trips ), I could barely understand the english spoken with the italian accent in order to ask my way or any other information ...oh my, it didn't start very well ... XD
Plus I never use cash, only credit card, I just couldn't get used to it.
Again, sorry for making everybody waste their time, and thx for baring with me.

You are the MAN of this Week End. Thx for taking care of me. XD When I saw you exhausted and sleeping after that saturday night, I almost wanted to hug you XD. I just remember I have 4 matches of the Team Tourney we had, but bad cam quality, I mostly recorded them for the atmosphere / ambience anyway.
Plus I ran out of memory.. :-( so the last matches are missing
Next time I'll be using my phone with 32 Gb :-D
