I started playing VF5 more or less one year ago, and i think is one of the best beat'em up.
Time ago a friend told me about VF5R, and i would like to try the evolution of this great game with my own hands.
I hope the community message is not going to be ignored.

Hi! I hope to see VF5R on consoles, is one of my favorite fighting games, I´m from Spain and here aren't VF5R arcade machines and the Spanish VF comunity needs the console version to play this marvelous game, please SEGA make a console version for your fans ^^, I think this game can sell very well, of course I will buy the xbox360 and ps3 version (I already have VF5 in ps3&xbox360 haha) sorry for my poor english, thanks a lot!

My name is Kristoffer Ommen, and i live in Norway. I have only been playing Virtua Fighter for 2 years, but i really think its the best fighter out there, by far. But every time i want to play, all i can think off is that i am playing an old and dead version of the game, and i cant really get as much into it when i watch stuff from SBO or other tournaments, since we are playing a totaly different game!
We REALLY need Virtua Fighter 5R on console.

I've always been a big fighting game fan, having played the Virtua Fighter series since the first title debuted in the arcades. I went on to buy a Dreamcast to play VF3TB, and I bought a PS2 specifically to play VF4 Evo - my favourite game of all time.

In recent years however, I have grown disenchanted with the genre. The latest editions of many of the other established franchises (Tekken 6, Street Fighter 4 and King of Fighters XII) have been nothing but disappointments. As a consequence I have found myself playing fighting games less and less. The only game that would make me return to playing fighting games competitively again would be VF5R. Nothing would please me more than to see the latest edition of my favourite get a ported to 360 and PS3.

Please Sega, make it happen!

My message to SEGA:

My first experience with Virtua Fighter was playing VF2 in an arcade as a child. While I had no idea of how to play properly, the game looked incredible and I enjoyed watching others play. A couple of years later I remember seeing VF3 at one of the arcades that used to be around and often played during 'super sessions' where you pay for entry to the arcade while all games are on free-play. I was quite bad at it but started playing fighting games more seriously around that time.
By the time I was in my teenage years I was trying to collect as many fighting games as possible and I happened to see VF4:Evolution. I purchased it immediately and was excited to have the chance to learn the game properly unlike the random play of my childhood. When I entered the training mode I was blown away, no other game I had played before or even since then has made such an effort to teach its players how to play the game. It drove you to persevere in landing the sample combos and advanced defensive techniques shown. I tried getting friends interested in the game but at that time Tekken5 was close to release and without an arcade machine to play on there was less of a reason to learn the game. I ended up becoming a part of the competitive Tekken scene in my city however I always lamented that there wasn't a similar scene for VF.
When the PS3 was announced I wasn't particularly interested since most launch games aren't that great but upon hearing that VF5 would be a launch title I immediately pre-ordered the system along with the game. I worked on learning more about the game including browsing forums and going to VF gatherings on occasion but my interest waned upon knowing that the version I had was eventually outdated by the Xbox 360 version and then that VF5:R was being developed and then released without any sign of a console release.
Even though I rarely play VF5 in my own time now I still enjoy playing against others and even competed in a tournament recently even though I didn't compete in the Tekken6 tournament which I was actually running at the event.
I really do hope that VF5:R does receive a console release, not only for the players who have followed the series since the beginning but for all the new players entering fighting games who are open to learn a deep and extremely fulfilling game. Like many others I would buy it immediately upon release.

1. Document purpose- This is a time when Virtua Fighter can crush the Tekken series in popularity and quality! Let's be honest here. There has never been a better time when Virtua Fighter can shine so much and overshadow Tekken. The honest truth is Tekken has been the most popular 3D fighter because it has been on the very popular 'Playstation' consoles while Virtua Fighter has stayed on the much lesser popular, less powerful Sega consoles. Ever since Virtua Fighter moved to the very same consoles as Tekken ( VF4 on playstation 2, VF5 playstation 3, VF5online Xbox360), the Tekken series has looked bad. Never in the entire history of the Tekken series has the Tekken franchise look so outclassed and beaten than now. Tekken 6 looks so very average next to Virtua Fighter 5 online on my xbox360. Now that Virtua Fighter is on the very same popular consoles, its time for Virtua Fighter 5R to shine and show the world that VF is the ultimate 3D fighter 2nd to none. If there ever was a time to overshadow Tekken it's now!
2. I am new on this website but my first Virtua Fighter experience was VF2 on sega genesis. I got VF2 on sega saturn but it wasnt as good as arcade version. I really enjoyed Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution on Playstation 2 and Virtua Fighter 5 Online on Xbox360!! I play alot of fighting games-I have every single fighting game on sega saturn, sega dreamcast, playstation 1-3, xbox and xbox360. I firmly believe VF4 Evolution on PS2 and VF5 Online on xbox360 are the two greatest console fighting games ever made. I have hundreds of home console fighting games and those two are at the top of my list.

Hello Sega,

My first Virtua Fighter was Virtua Fighter 4. It's such a great game so I got hooked pretty quickly. Now after few years I'm playing Virtua Fighter 5 just as much as I did Virtua Fighter 4. I've watched a lot of gameplay videos of VF5R and it looks so awesome that I have longed after it ever since I saw the first video of it.

It would really be nice if we here outside of Japan could get a chance to play it too... as long as it's not made half-assed.
