An in game story would be nice, endings for the characters or something. I always wanted to see it and only got it for VF Kids. simple way to appeal to the button masher crowd, add a button masher mode to the game. a super smash bros style of fighting, it would be dumbed down and easy to play and OPTIONAL. so us hardcore player can buy the disc and not ever TOUCH that option, while Joe Schmo can pick up and play that version and think that he's good.

And I'm sorry Tekken has appealing looking characters? they all look like they have been rejected from a pride parade for being too flamboyant.

I think VF could use a brand new roster of characters. Just replace all the former characters with newer 'hipper' characters. Like what BlazBlue was to Guilty Gear. As iconic as they are to us, they are lacking 'character' according to most of the casuals. Keep Goh and Jean because the casuals seem to like those two the most out of the characters. The story could use a reboot as well since the whole evil organization behind the tournament thing has been done a million times before.
