guys, i wanna know how you guys manage to do throw escape in unpredictable or some situation, not in usual situation when you already predicted do throw escape (like when your move whiffed or opp having guaranteed counter or having disadvantange, you do TEG or ETEG)

for example, when your opp in a distance from you, he dash close to you and do (0 frame) throw... Mostly I got panicky all of the time T-T

any tips for this kind of situation?

sorry for such a nubis question and sorry if it's already been discussed. thx before. \:\)

If I break 0f throws, there's no trick for me, it's just either blind luck, intuition, or their patterns have become obvious. Hopefully someone else has tips for this but I'm doubting it.

This situation is most likely the reason they've added the new way to break throws in VF5:R. Where you can hold P+G and a direction or neutral to break a throw.

wow, didnt know that about r. sometimes when playing evenly matched opposition (say 7dan or better) i will notice a situation where we both are going block and no action occured. I will take note of this and plan a throw accordingly. However my opponent does the same and we get a well thought out situation where it looks almost like we are both randomly throwing, and for example in lei vs lei mirror matches we will most likely both be going 33pg or 3pg and whoever enters 2nd get escape. Sometimes when u know ur opponent is going to throw u will press first and they get the throw escape and get to look like the bad ass, but don't lose sight of the fact that u accomplished ur goal. You stuffed the throw, even if u entered first with good anticipation and they get the escape--the important thing is u just prevented a potential giant swing/splash mountain/whatever.

In that situation its better for you to react with an attack to interrupt them or at least fuzzy guard. Dash in and throw in neutral situation you can interrupt the throw with any move including a huge launcher..

0-frame throws are escaped the exact same way and theres equally long buffer window, it just starts bit earlier because there is no grab animation.

Not really a big deal imo. All it really does is help newer players since when you pick and hold a throw escape you cant block and cant select any other throws, just one.

I don't really see how that's any different from how it is now TEing wise can someone explain this new TE method a little more detailed. You could always hold a direction and hold P+G once you pressed it to get a TE. . . are you saying you get both a neutral TE and a direction TE at the same time when you hold the direction.

i'm confused on how this new method is different. . .

Basically with the way it is in R. You can be standing and blocking, while covering one direction of your choice to break. So you can be both blocking and breaking one throw, essentially. Does that make sense?
