Hello Virtua Fighter community! I'm EXTREMELY pleased to announce that VF5:FS will be an official part of the game lineup at Cali Crush! We've always been big Virtua Fighter fans and it was our intent from immediately after last year's event to see if we can make this happen.

This is largely possible due to the overwhelming amount of support and response from the VF.com community when we put up our survey. So for that, we thank you.

**Additionally, we will be looking for entertaining and knowledgeable VF commentators.**
So if anyone is interested please email me at: primedirectivemedia@gmail.com. Put "VF Commentary" in the title so I don't miss it.

More details to come. Please stay tuned to www.calicrushtournament.com for the latest updates.
And please like the Cali Crush facebook page.

    PRE-REGISTRATION IS LIVE!

Our pre-reg numbers for VF are scary low considering the amount of support we got in adding VF to the lineup. Low numbers means a low pot.

While Sega hasn't offered any money as a pot bonus (because Sega of America literally only deals with Sonic now)...

Money is up for grabs to the winner. But only if people are actually filling up this tournament. If we can't get numbers up we can't run VF.

Tournament is short notice and pocket change is up for grabs, of course attendance is low. For VF, Canada Cup is a much better alternative with guys like MOV and Fuudo there as well as bigger prize, etc. Personally I find it insulting that shitty DOA gets more support than VF in your tournament, sir.

Unfortunately, due to EXTREMELY low numbers in Virtua Fighter pre-registration we are forced to cancel its presence from Cali Crush 2015. Currents numbers are simply too small to justify the cost of running the tournament on any official level.

However, space will be made available in the event VF fans would like to run a side tournament.

As far as support is concerned, the reason DOA and Smash have more support comes down to the player participation. The player pools as expressed in pre-registration and expected attendance for both of these games is substantially larger than for VF, and those numbers are what allow us to seek out support in the form of pot bonuses from tournament sponsors and game developers.

We were really looking forward to running Virtua Fighter this year, and were extremely excited about the initial support we had in its inclusion. Hopefully, we can get more support together for a future event.
