Something i've been told over and over again is that 3d fighters have character moves that come in 3 flavors: Essential, Situational, and Worthless. Although I still have yet to be thoroughly convinced that useless moves exist, I do understand that people need to understand essential moves before anything else, especially if the character is your entry to the game. So, please, tell me if i'm missing something or have something wrong. This is for my own reference, as well as anyone who may follow in my footsteps, choosing this guy to be their first character.

    Punching Range Pokes:
(5)P: Basic 12 frame Jab (is that slow for this game?) that gives you 5 frames to make a mess of your opponent on hit.
6P: Basic 14 frame Body Horizontal Elbow (that has to be slow, why doesn't he do a body hook instead?) that's neutral on hit.
2P: Fast 12 frame leg cross that avoids highs and gives you 4 frames to make a mess of your opponent on hit.
4K Tear teep at 17 frames with 4 advantage frames for kicking range

    Anti-sidestep:
G+K: Obnoxiously high roundhouse as a sidestep punisher at 17 frames
2G+K: Proper roundhouse kick as a special sidestep punisher at 19 frames (incase someone other than Brad can high-crush sidestep)

    Defensive:
    6G+P+K entering duck (forward)
2|8G+P+K slip-bob-and-weave (not as linear, but doesn't seem to sidestep linear attacks anyway)

    Launcher:
    6G+K (bnb followup)

    Duck:
PP (option to spam PP to finish or SB&W)
P+KP (to get them down on the ground to let you think a little)
G+P4G+P to get your opponent backturned if you suspect they'll try to block and you get 11 frames to boot!
6K: Rear teep landing you 5 extra frames on hit
    2|8K: Launcher (bnb followup)

    SB&W:
P+K: Launcher (bnb followup, even if they're not flying)
    PP to stance
    PP K (on hit) K

    Easy-Peasy BnB Combo
3PP 9K (everyone but Taka of course)

I'm not sure if i want to make this list smaller or not.

Kohlrak, I highly recommend you to read through following pages as they contain a LOT of beginner-to-intermediate info and can help you to understand your character easily and level up your game fast :)

    http://virtuafighter.com/wiki/brad/ - very core info
http://virtuafighter.com/wiki/brad-move-analysis-vf5fs/ - move analysis... those "essential moves" explained, if you wanna call it like that ;)
http://virtuafighter.com/wiki/brad-strategy-vf5fs/ - core strategy of how to use Brad and what kind of mindset you should adapt
http://virtuafighter.com/wiki/start...ighter.com/wiki/starting-out-with-vf5fs-brad/ - beginners Brad guide from one of top japanese players

http://virtuafighter.com/combos/list?ver=5fsa&chara=brad - Brad combo list. You do not need to learn all combos here, but it can help you with both basic and customized combos

http://virtuafighter.com/wiki/index/ - last but not least, the SYSTEM section of VFDC wiki contains a lot of core to advanced information about game system. As VF favours the overall system heavily over character-specific stuff, it can help you to understadn both your character and your opponents actions
