How to register your cards on VFnet.

Hi Guys,

Its been 1 year since I last went Japan. I'm going back again end of this month. Anyone know how to do it? I only remember I'm suppose to buy web money from convenient store then using it to pay for the account.

Thanks alot Nin! I've managed to register my cards. I should translate the HK link into English so that everyone going to Japan can register their cards too. Its pretty simple.

*You need to have japanese encoding installed to view and use this FAQ.

 

To register for VF.Net using PC, you need to have:

1)VF Cards (for obivous reasons)
2)Internet
3)Credit Card or Purchase *Web Money

*Web Money can be easily bought in majority of the convenient stores in Japan. The last time Ice9 and I were there we bought 2000yen worth of Web Money from a machine at the nearest convenient store.

If you don't use IE, make sure you choose Shift-JIS encoding in your browser and you're fine (if it doesn't auto-detect). In Opera it's View > Encoding > Japanese > Shift-JIS.

No problems! I think very few players here hardcore enough like me to use this guide (except of cos those i've met in Japan).

I've do a FAQ on character editing, shopping for items etc... etc... if there's demand.

I can't remember and can't get to the same screen you will be prompted when you log in for the first time as a new user. I'll update once I have new info.

*By the way, it is important for everyone to know (courtesy from Nin), you cannot rank up to Tsuwamono if you ranked up to 10 dan at a VF machine that is not connected to VF. NET. That means no easy ranking up on fellow VFers outside of Japan and go pick on easy 10 dans in Japan.

You will need to rank down to 9 dan and rank back up again. When you are 10 dan, the game will count every loss you have against another 10 dan but will not count on any of your 10 dan wins.

Also, (courtesy of Ice9) when you have a rank down match and successfully defended it, it will not be added to your ranking up counter. So if you are newly ranked 10 dan and suffered a consecutive losing streak to four 10 dans but successfully defended your title match on the fifth 10 dan match, you still need 5 more 10 dans for Tsuwamono!

I don't think so Sal, Rod told me ayer that he cancelled his account a few days ago and he didn't mention anything about that.

Problem with Rod is that he played a few games the other day and yanked his card out too quick and lost his items. /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

 

I can't find the cancellation page on ISAO.net. Since I'm not in Japan, I don't necessarily want my credit card charged every month...
