awesome! I'd love to know more about kokei stance.... when using it, what it is good for....

if you notice someone loves rising attacks getting knockdowns that lead into kokei stance, or give you time to set it up, allows you to blow through their rising attack with kokei p+k.

what does upknife mean and kch and wsk.

upknife (as it says at the top of my first post) is Lau's from crouch 3p.

Ch is counterhit (also at the top of my first post),so 4p(kch)p means that the k portion of the string (in brackets) must counterhit the opponent which guarantees the last hit to connect then the combo afterwards.

Wsk is while standing kick, which is not listed at the top of the page, I'll sget one of the mods to edit it in at some point

ah these notations are hard to understand, things that are listed like PK dont know whether i should press P then K like a string or press P and K, wish they were like jacky thread @_@

    ch upknife,p
does this mean i press p after upknife.

    kokei 3p,3kpp (82) superlight-light-mid heavy mid
how do i get into kokei stance in this combo so i can do 3p.

All my formatting got messed up when pasting from a text document and in the middle of editing my edit time ran out and I couldn't fix my post. It will be fixed at some point when I find time.

If you know the movelist it should be easy to figure out

    "ch upknife,p
does this mean i press p after upknife."

    Yes

    "kokei 3p,3kpp (82) superlight-light-mid heavy mid
how do i get into kokei stance in this combo so i can do 3p."

I assume you mean the upknife,p combo?, as it says in the movelist you can enter kokei by pressing pkg after upknife p.

You should probably become familiar with the Lau movelist and the glossary.

" these notations are hard to understand, things that are listed like PK dont know whether i should press P then K like a string or press P and K,"

The only pk that might confuse you if you know the movelist is upknife pk and you could figure that out in 5 seconds just by testing which one works. In every other instance

    eg 6pk
    9kg
    2pk
    3pk

there is no move 6p then k
there is no move 9k then g
there is no move 2p then k
there is no move 3p then k

if you are familiar with the movelist it shouldn't confuse you, if you are unfamiliar with the movelist, maybe the combo thread is not the best place to start.

Im having trouble with this combo i cant get upknife to connect since it comes out to late if i do it early i just get the normal
3p and not upknife, any idea what im doing wrong.

    upknife pk,3ppk

and what does this mean, can be stuggled, 3kp doesnt combo after 6k and it will be my last question >>
    6k (can be struggled

    3kp pkg,ppp or guard break (93) superlight-light-mid-mid heavy

Getting the upknife after a floater requires some pretty precise buffering. I have the best luck buffering 33g (hold 3) then press p to get the upknife. You can buffer crouch dash during the recovery of your combo starter.

I apologize for asking something so basic, but what do the exclamation points at the beginning of the move inputs mean? I read elsewhere that it could mean instant input, or guaranteed knockdown, neither of which makes sense in this context.
