Okay, now before you all point and laugh let me explain how all this crap came to be.

I was on VF5 and there was no one else playing, so I decided to watch the VF5 Exhibition matches. I realised I hadn't seen Jacky's so I decided to watch them. In Jacky vs Pai, Pai blocks an iageri leaving Jacky at +4. The Jacky player then does an OM:k: to nail a side crumple on the foolish Pai.

I thought: "That's pretty cool!" and went to dojo mode to see what I could work with that OM. And boy, did I stumble into something.

Initially I had planned just to take a few mental notes and be on my merry way but when different characters started displaying different outcomes based on stance and OM direction I had to look into it some more.

These were all tested after a blocked iageri in dojo mode, which is the only way I could test an OM at +4. I imagine that it will have the same results if used after [P][K] or anything else that leaves you +4.

This info is only useful in a sense. By using OMK you can hurt an abare opponent and leave you at +6 or possibly give you a side or back crumple. Against someone who fuzzies the OM is a useful delay for a throw. In the end it all comes down to yomi (as do most things in VF). This is merely another option. Probably not the best but I'm sure someone, somewhere will get some sort of use from it.

EDIT: FAIL means that you get hit, not that you whiff.

Okay, so all that info is now up and I can stop typing! it's not in your best interest to OM at +4 anyway but it's nice to know there's something extra. I'll make a post if I get any use out of this crap in an actual match.

Oh, and I came to one more conclusion. Particularly about the "VS THROW" crap.

At first I thought it was just impossible to side crumple the heavyweights that throw but then I checked Dural and she acts just like Pai or Eileen would, getting side crumpled regardless of direction or stance. So the only logical conclusion is that the manlier your character is the faster they recover from whiffing a throw.

Okay, just tried at +2 with a blocked Jab and it's the same results (haven't been through everyone yet). So I'm guessing it's the same from +2 to +4 maybe even higher, who knows?

that is thorough, and that is work. But...what move was the cpu abaring with? And i wonder if it matters what move they abare with? obviously circulars will change it, but i mean i wonder if it matters what linear move they abare with.

Im confused what you are actually testing? You get sidecrumple every time OM K counterhits from the side. Are you testing when OM K works? I mean it works when you have advantage, I thought we all knew that ^^ If you could pinpoint the situation where OM K would beat opponents circular that would be cool ^^

At some of Jackys move discriptions there were written something like this , but sadly I can´t find mine right now, so if I´m talking shit, please ignore what I´ve written...

After transcribing this to the wiki (Jacky Strategy Wiki - Offensive Movement) and looking at it more closely I have some feedback.

    Against Jacky you say:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">**Against Jacky, it doesn't matter which direction you go, you'll get a hit if he abares. Best to go to his back if you want more side crumples though.</div></div>
But in the results against Jacky, nothing shows up as FAIL? Can you confirm?

    Some general comments:

    1. In all situations where you specify "Normal Hit", it's technically a "Recovery Counter Hit".

    2. In the low punch situations, if you were to use OM [P] instead, you'd get a crouch stagger.

    3. In the low punch situations, what happens to the opponent when they get hit with OM [K]? Are they still crouching, or forced into a standing position? I'm having trouble recalling what actually happens here, but if they're forced to stand, and you have +6f advantage, then you have a good nitaku situation.

    Yeah, jacky's strikes all whiff.

Correct, in the low pinch situation if you use an OMP you connect while they're still crouched.

I believe it forces them to stand, I'm not 100% as it's been a while but if I can get my xbox working I'll have a look at it again tonight.

Think testing standing jab would be useful as [P][K] and it's ilk are decent abare tools and I see them quite often.

I think I'm still confused. Which Jacky are we talking about? The OMing Jacky?

Again, none of the "vs Jacky" results show a FAIL, but in your summary text you say that regardless of which OM direction you'll always FAIL (i.e. get hit)?

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Correct, in the low pinch situation if you use an OMP you connect while they're still crouched.

The best way to test this, since they're at -6 disadvantage is to see if they can avoid being thrown by simply holding [IMG]. You'll need another person to help you test this though (or any other volunteers out there?)
