2p Is a move most people use in close quarters. If you are getting hit by it then you should already be close:confused: .

Taka has no low crushing moves aside from 9P and 9K.

Hey Yomi, do you think Taka gets blown up by any character? And also what is your opinion on Taka's ring out potential?

I think Jacky blows up Taka pretty well, he's got quite high damage punishes and NC strings on him, I feel it's especially easy and highly lucrative for Jacky to evade Taka and then punish him.

For Taka's ringout potential, obviously it's better the lighter character you're up against in juggles, but I think it's pretty average against MW to HW. For grounded he's got hcb P+G throw into 66PP which rings out from about two character widhts which is very good, 66PP on it's own is pretty good too, but after that aside from few specialities like 6P+G throw ring outing to your side, it's not that different from anyone else IMO.

Is anything guaranteed after a escaping an opponent's throw?

No, after escaping all front throws leave you at +6 and side throws -2 (yes, your opponent has +2 advantage if you escape THEIR side throw) However some throws, like Shun's 66P+G IIRC leave your opponent backturned, but still nothing should be guaranteed.

I think YOMI said somewhere earlier- [3][3][P][+][K]- As it has the most active frames. I like to go for [8]/[2][K][+][G] to catch techrollers though I'm not sure if that's a legit meaty or not.

well 33p+k is quite risky I will think? I am afraid it will be punishable even as meaty, if they block :(
Anyway thank you, I will try it

43P is pretty godlike. + on block, combo on hit and as an added bonus it's very easy to set it up as a meaty vs regular tech roll vs most of the cast (for example vs Goh 4P+K,P, dash 1PP, 6P+KPP into 43P asap hits on second active naturally or P+K, 1PP, 6P+KP into 443P (1fk) hits on 3rd active.
Also has the transition to tachi if you want to play with that though I think 2P stops everyithing even if you hit 43P on last active.

What? This is extremely risky move in my opinion since its so punishable on block... So seems to be 2_46P+K as well..

I know I play the best anti-Taka character, but Jacky punishes to those two moves range from 75 (-14) to 104 (-17) depending on what active frame the move connects on oki. Of course you can't tell the frame situation by naked eye, but Taka is eating at the very least 75 damage when blocked.

The mental damage on the opponent when it hits is worth the risk.

Never use 46P outside sobering combos unless you're a punk ass bitch.

I'll just dump this here. For whatever reason I decided to test how much damage everyone gets when punishing Taka's -15 moves. Decided I'd make a list of it while going through them as well and here we go.
EDIT: added the actual punishes in there, only had damages before. Also added whether they knock down or leave advantage or disadvantage.

Vanessa DS: P,K 34 (does she seriously only get P,K on -15??), +4 onhit

    Eileen: P+K, P,K 49, +4 on hit
    Lei: 6P+K,P,P 50, +4 on hit
    Pai: P,P,K,K 50, KND
Kage: P,P,P,K 51, KND (58/76/78 if you do 1P+K into a guaranteed throw attempt)

    Shun 0DP: 1P+K, 6_P, 6P,P 55, KND
    Aoi: P,P,6P,P 56, -4 on hit IIRC
    Sarah: P,P,4P,K 57, KND
    Wolf: 4P, 6_P, 4K+G,K 57, KND
    Goh: 46P, 46P+K,P,P 57, KND (unreliable, OM, 3P,P 51 reliable, 6_P, 3P,P 58 stance specific)
    Lion: 44K~P+K, 66K,K 57, KND (64 stance specific, funny thing 6PP, 66KK and 44K,P+K, 1fk P, 6PP both do 64 and work from closed only)
    Brad: 6P+K, 6_P, 3P+K,P 58, KND
    Vanessa OS: 6P+K, 6_P, 66K,K 58, KND
Dural heavy: 4P, 6_P, 6P,P 58, KND (might get better but I only tried for a while for humors sake)
    Lau: 46P, 6_P, 9K+G,P 59, KND

    Akira: 46P, 6_P, K+G,P 60, KND (unreliable in other stance, 46P, 2_6P!P 57 reliable from both)
    Shun 4DP: 1P+K, 6_P,P,4P,P 61, KND
    Taka: P+K, 6_P, 6P+K,P,P 64, KND

    Jean: 4K,P, 33P,K 67, KND
    Jeffry: 6P,P, 66P,P 67 KND
    El Blaze: 2_6P+K, 2P+K, 6_P, 6P,K 69, KND

    Dural light: P+K, 6_P,P,6P,K 74, -4 on hit IIRC
    Jacky: 6P+K, 6_P,P,6P,K 75, -4 on hit IIRC

I seriously have no clue why I did this but might as well put it here. Possible errors in some damages, I might not have figured the best combo for everyone.

Nice work, now maybe people will punish 4P+KP with something else than PK or throw.
