To anyone coming to Atlanta Revival this weekend:

LaughingManATL and I are running a VF5:FS side tournament. It will be on one PS3 setup, and there WILL be a $100 pot guaranteed handed down for top 3, I don't care if there's only 3 people in the tournament, lol (have it in my pocket, atm).

Unless LaughingManATL tells me something different, the entry fee will be $3. We know people have their own respective games to train for, but we all wish for anyone who's interested in VF to come out and just have fun with it.

If you bring a setup your door fee is waived. Please guys we need a few setups to ensure a nice smooth tournament. If you plan on bringing a setup BE ON TIME once we hit our limit we will deny equipment waivers!

It was fun, and the tournament turned out alot better than I thought. Thank you for everyone that came, considering it was pretty much last minute. I'm just sad my munney was tooken from me, because I ended up getting second.

Raishin X completely exploited my bad habits, and I didn't recover until it was too late, props to him. Beating me with my own character!

With 6 participants, we had a round robin to start things off (which can be found here). All round robin matches were 2/3.

The top three placers from the round off faced off in a separate bracket to compete for the top 3 spots, and subsequent payout. Two matches were played: losers finals and grand finals, both of which were top 3. Top round robin placer (Raishin X) was automatically moved to grand finals. #2 and 3 placers (BLACK STAR and Kodak) faced off in losers finals, where loser would claim 3rd place. The winner of the losers final would move on to grand finals, competing for 1st place.

Loser's Finals:
BLACK STAR vs. Kodak: 3-0 ---> WINNER: BLACK STAR

Grand Finals:
BLACK STAR vs Raishin X: 0-3 ---> WINNER: Raishin X


1st place -- Raishin X (SA, $70)
2nd place -- BLACK STAR (SA/AK, $20)
3rd place -- Kodak (LI, $10)

lol, i'm sorry about that! I feel real bad, its a good chance i screwed everybodys name up. Next time, I'll have everybody write their names down, so there's no confusion

 

I'm thinking about it. I was talking about an idea for another tournament with my friends at ATL Revival yesterday. It will probably go down later on in the fall.

If I do, I want a good turnout (otherwise I will be wasting time and money), so tell your friends if/when I make an announcement!
