    UPDATE #5: We have a volunteer streamer for VF5FS EVO 2018. https://www.twitch.tv/escapingworkforce

    UPDATE #4:
Switched it back to 360 from reading everyone's responses here. Plus, I have plenty of 360s around at my house from my SEGA fan event in Georgia.

    UPDATE #3:

Right now I'm making a document to keep track on who's volunteering for this VF5FS tournament and is guaranteed to show up at EVO. We're going to need people who can

    - Help with the double elimination brackets
    - Test and Run the stream
    - Commentary

If anyone has any experience with these following things. Feel free to send me a DM here or Tweet me @KoriMaru. Then from there, I can provide the information on how setups is going to be like at EVO.

Also if we don't happen to have enough people who can provide PS3s by the end of this week, I'll switch it back to 360.

    UPDATE #2:

Hey guys it's finally Tuesday and judging from the poll, looks like we're using the PS3 consoles of Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown for EVO.

Now if anyone is attending EVO 2018 and has some spare 360 to PS3 converters for Xbox players, send me a DM here or message me on Twitter @KoriMaru.

Be sure to register at the link in OP if you are attending! The tournament needs to hit 32 entrants to get time on the stage and stream!

Anybody know how to run a bracket? I got the 360 setup.

@GenesisFrenzy might be able to assist.
Basically you just need to follow the bracket and call and report matches accordingly.

Suggestion: please decide on the system of choice, as having 2 different consoles for the event has proven to be a headache from past experiences.

I'd pick PS3, unless it's noticeably worse than the 360 version.

Also, most people have PS4 sticks that tend to work with PS3s.

      Thanks for listening.

If I come to EVO I can bring a setup or 2. My chances of going are a little slimmer though because I already planned to go to NYG. Is anybody planning on attending both events?

EDIT: If NYG were changed to a different date I could for sure attend it AND EVO. My suggestion would be Labor Day weekend. With monday being a holiday for many people they would have more incentive to do it big on Sunday (usually day of Team Tournament) and hang out longer/later. But I'd be happy if NYG was even just a week or 2 later also.

ps: Amazing how 2018 there's a healthy amount of VF happening from monthlies on both coasts to Beat Tribe and now EVO. It just won't die. Thanks to everyone in this community who are making things happen. It feels really good to see results.

It's very easy to run a bracket, just use challonge.com and have people report results to you.

A 32 man bracket with 4 setups can be done in 2-3 hours, and even less time if you have 6 setups. More is better, since you may want to have a number of casual/practice setups as well.

Here's a straw poll to see which console everyone would prefer to play VF5FS for EVO finals. I'll give everyone 5 days to vote http://www.strawpoll.me/15583196

@Jason Elbow We can set up a challonge bracket, and then whoever creates it can give roles to other challonge accounts so we can have more than one person reporting scores. It isn't usually necessary, but if we have more setups it could come in handy.

Please ignore Yakuza 6 as it does not have ability to repeat a stage or change at will

There's already the smash.gg bracket Kori made, I believe you can give people admin roles on that as well which would be handy if required :)

Hell yeah. Although I make no promises, I intended to attend both. If I can't make EVO. Then I will be definitely be attending NYGX.

This is true. And xbone has offline lag. I've personally experienced this myself.
