Again, thanks to everyone for being at Rocky's yesterday. Was really nice to be able to play with a fairly sizeable VF crowd in a different state. (Special mention goes to GhostDog, who drove 2 hours to participate in the tourney!!) You guys are all pretty good VF players, and I'm sure once the US PS2 version comes out, you'll all get even better! Also, if any of you are ever in the Bay Area, please post to the Jamboree forum; we'll try to set up an equally warm reception for you guys...

Thanks Unc. I'm not sure if The_dude knows why I lost. Still, we had a well played match. I'll never forgive myself for losing to someone who lost to Stoopid and Blonde_One in the same tournament. Dan was actually 2 points behind IMF.

Think nothing of it Chris. Thanks for coming and holding the tournament. I learned a few things,and walked away with a valuble lesson so it was well worth it. I'll be in touch. How far is Folsom, Ca from San Fran? I may take you up on your offer. Take care sir.

Folsom is probably a bit over 2 hours to San Francisco. Planning to hang around SF around the time of B6? hehe

Reminds me of when I met Jason, Chris, Akira T, and Jemin (and met up with Yamcha and Clopin) when VF4test was at SVGL... and it just happened to be B5 weekend when I came, so I went to watch the 3s exhibition/versus/images/icons/smile.gif

btw: The Dude always beats you. You guys had a good fight. Stop whining about it. Anybody see how many times The Dude tried Lion's qcb+p and ended up jumping away? He did it at least 3 times in a few matches that really cost him. And I couldn't do shit with Akira...with those sticks you really have to get warm. Trust me, you weren't the only one that messed a move up the whole night.

Yep... you gotta love the American VF4 sticks... this crappy incident happens way too often when I come back to the Portland VF4 machine from long breaks... Always have to remind myself to practically think d,df+P for Meteor Punch... sigh... I should preprogram myself to be prepared to tap the K button in case I do jump or at least keep hold of P so I don't end up hopping away just to do Lion's hop, descend Punch.

Well Enk, I'll be going, it's going to be at UCLA, which is a good drive to san fran, I made it in about 5 hours to the bay area. Tried to do the same thing on the way back and got a ticket

 

Congrats to you FeixaQ!! Sorry I could not get there any earlier (work). It was good playing you the one game I got to though. Hopefully you can come down again sometime or myself and some others can visit you and your crowd in the Bay Area.

Thanks for teaching everyone a little something about VF4 and a little something about humility (we all learned how to fall down, haha). Well akira2001 if you have time in august me and some other cats are going to UCLA for B6 aka Evolution. It's a big 2D game tourney but tragic said he'll be down for some VF4 and more than likely so will others.

 

Enk participates in the Evol2k2. The winner will receive a private lesson from the Grand Emperor himself. An incredible array of awesome fighters participate, but it all boils down to the final match between Enkindu and Sega Duck.
Neither Enkindu nor Sega Duck have revealed their true power yet. Of course I'm only kidding.

 

Oh yeah, i got a better one. Didn't you all see how many times I didn't want to sweep but I did! hahahahhahah low throw!
