Pls help Akira's ST [Stumble throw] follow up

    hello,

I'm havin a huge problem pulling off
    ST --> FC, f+p --> d/f, d/f, b, f+p

I'm trying the combo out in free training mode. I set the CPU to 'guard all the time' to see it the timing is correct.

For the life of me I've only gotten it to connect all the way like 2 out of the 20+ odd trys

According to the black book the d/f, d/f, b, f+p can be buffered in even before the animation for the FC, f+p is finished. Is that correct or did I leave anything out with my limited Japanese.

I've tried fooling around with the timing and it seems the best time to do the move is after the Akira starts his single palm animation.

I generally use the 'fire-ball' rolling stick motion for the single palm, wait for the single palm animation then do the modified double palm in four accurate taps.. REAL FAST

I'm very sure that my inputs are accurate but the I very often end up with standing single palm. That means the crouch dash is not registering.

WHen I hold the second D/F the move comes out too late and is blocked. Soo frustrating!

BTW, d/f, d/f, b, f+p can be done at the speed of a SDE. Meaning, you don't have to hold the second d/f in position as in the previous VFs. Just do quick taps and the move comes out.

Any inputs on the timing or is there some funcky technique to pulling this off?

    Thanks

I think you have the technique down correctly -- four precise inputs: df, df, b, f+P (no holding required), and at the speed of the SDE sounds about right too.

I have most success when I ensure I tap out all four inputs at equal speed, and you should aim for the last input (f+P) to be completed the very frame(s) you recover from the Single Palm.

I don't know what other advice to give but to keep practicing.

I do not know if i'm right but i would like to contribute this...

Assuming x and a are variables

Stumble throw: b,d+P+G has an 'x' amt of recovery timing for the opponent.
Sgpm: D,f+P hits the opponent wif 'a' amt of recovery time.
Therefore, x+a actually allow Akira to squeeze in an additional attack (dlpm). If you fail to input the dlpm before the 'recovery time' ends the opponent can block the dlpm.

I've actually tried an experiment wif just sgpm followed by dlpm and it doesn't work. And thus this led me to believe that stumble throw does has the property of a certain amt of recovery frames on the opponent and the frames actually carry forward to the next move.

After fooling around a little more, tapping with equal speeds really seems to help ALOT.

Success percentage just went up. Although I'm still trying to find that 'sweet spot' timing.

    Thanks

although it probably isn't needed, psychologically it seems to help me do d/f, D/F (hold for a split second), b,f+P. Obviously don't wait to see if the c-dash even registered. Don't do four evenly spaced and timed taps, try tap-TAP... tap-tap.
    If that made sense.

Anyone can confirm that a u/f+p --> AS3 after the ST is actually a combo, I tried it a coupla times and it worked, but I am not sure if its actually a gauaranteed combo.

    Sorry
    definitely not a combo
I've got plenty of time to recover n guard by the time ur punch gets to me
