¡TEXAS!

Alright, we just bought a house in central austin, so I'm down for hosting VF in the area. 42"hdtv/ps3+27"sdtv/ps2+plenty room for more setups if necessary. Should be crash room for out-of-towners who need it as well.

I'm thinking a party for the US release of VF5 is a definite must, either feb 23 or 24th, fri or sat. Of course, regular meetups before or after that would be welcome as well.

Cool. Do you have direct feed recording capabilities? I have a camcorder, so if you want matches recored please let me know. I'm an hour north of Austin.

 

I've got a radeon with video in, but that'll only get you so far.

I'm hoping VF5 match files can be saved on the ps3 & shared online, but camcorder footage of people playing might be amusing.

Elite, where are you guys located again? I can definitely get you to / from my place & the bus station, at the least.

 

VF5 replay files can be copied onto the common media memory cards like CF cards. You can easily upload them and share it with people.

 

We live in Abilene if you know where that is. It's about 3 hrs west of Dallas I think.

I am getting my import copy of VF5 on Friday, and a lot of us SF and Tekken players are anxious to learn this game. A friend of ours in Austin also worked on the Brady Games guide, so we have a good sensei to work under. Let us know if this goes down!

Given that Evo South is March 9th, I think it may make more sense to skip having a launch party in favor of waiting another week or two for evo.

I can still help out with transportation + couch / floor crash space for out of towners on a budget going to evo - just PM me.

Don't sweat being new here - its a new game. 'Sides, I dunno about other folks, but its not like I've played much other than the AI in years. At least I got one of the hori fighting sticks to tide me over until the hrap shows up.
