Since there's new items,it seems this version will be also released on ps2.

It seems Namco isn't ashamed to copy AM2 ideas.
Oh well...I hope VF5 will teach a lesson or two to the Tekken developer team when it comes out.

As for Dragunov,a lot of people found him to have some resemblance with Goh,I wonder if the Tekken team is trying to copy Kastuya Tera style...

But WHY?

 

Sambo reminds me more of DoA than VF and Goh wasn't really on my mind. I figured they just said, "Sambo is cool, now can we make a Sambo version of Jin? JIN IS COOL!!!!" Besides, when we just looked at the posed models for Goh when VF4 came out, many thought he was a Jin ripoff at first, at least in looks (obviously, when you played the game, he looked pretty different).

As for the girl, felt like they were just taking some leftover from the Soul Edge/Soul Calibur teams' conceptual sketches. But if I want to claim rip-off, umm... hmm... maybe Samurai Showdown without the weapons? Maybe Alpha 3? But if you REAAAAALLLLYYY want to push the "Tekken steals from VF" button... umm.... okay, let's say she's a ripoff of customized VF4 Aoi with the blonde wig /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Saying these particular characters are blatant VF ripoffs is kinda pushing it imo. But we can always bring back the argument with Nina being a Sarah clone. Err, no argument there though.

But really, for the last I dunno--10 years, has there ever been a truly original fighting game character?

why I hate namco, firstly, I used to work for their arcade and I don't think that shit was run anywhere near the way it should of been, it was the most bootleg joke of an arcade that you will ever see, it was basicly a stopping point for anything namco had on the way to their OTHER arcades.
But I digress, their game making abilities never ever ever live up to what they should be. Tekken the series has been a joke for a long time now, and I'm not laughing. Tekkens 1 and 2: your out your fucking mind if you think that shit was better than VF 1 and 2. Tekken 3: I played this game because no one else in Ohio was on the VF3 tip, picked up Eddie Gordo, and boy was it fun because from then on, no matter how good I was with him, how much it was OBVIOUS that I knew what I was doing, people bitch about this guy (and subsequently Christie) as though they were SSS rank. Anything from simple chants of "masher" to more complicated "I can't tell if it's high or low" and all because I didn't wanna pick a mishima and light dash (here in refered to as masturbation). I saw a match vids with 2 korean mishimas masturbating like crazy and I thought it was the gayest looking shit that I have ever seen. Tekken Tag Tourney: firstly, I was one of the people that was impressed when they were showing all the tech demos of TTT with the "every blade of grass is rendered seperately" speal so when I saw it and not only did the graphics promised not appear, but I thought the game play to be nothing different save the TTT mechanism of needing to pick 2 people (when I honestly didn't care that much) to be something of an ignorant addition, I mean seriously, WHO THE FUCK plays 1 v 1 in TTT. So when I only wanted to play Eddie, I found myself screwed.
Tekken 4: HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAH
Tekken 5: I thought it was gonna be alright DESPITE Dandy J keeping up with the beta testing and the awesome fun of Raven in beta (this led me not to pick him for reasons I will name later). I figured, I picked Steve in Tekken 4 to deal with Jin so I can play him, and I can play christie. To my suprise, Steve became #1 and Christie was actually usable. Even more to my suprise, people complained more about Christie than they do about Steve. Sufficite to say, I though Steve was still gay, so I pretty much dropped him and stuck with Christie and haven't stop hearing about it since.
I never dealt with the SC series until SC2 where I decided the only character design that I liked was Yunsungs (HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA) who I had heard was good in beta, little did I know that they had raped him so hard DUE to his beta testing, that he was unusable at a serious level (reason not to play Raven).
Their RPG department has been a joke, I haven't liked any of them except Xenogears, Xenosaga was the most boring innane story ever, and it was a 40 hr long movie, NOT a game. Their arcade division has had nothing good or impressive since Lucky Wild, that was a fun game but not enough so to make me believe that the company is good. I think even their arcade stick that is so legendary is overrated, sure it's a good base and all, but it still needs modding with sanwa parts for me to consider it a good stick. In conclusion, namco sux.

 

First thing I thought of when I saw Lili was Candy/Honey from Fighting Vipers.
