Oh, as an aside, you might want to take a look at ESPN football this year before you drop your money on Madden. Unless, of course, you're like me and will buy them both anyway. /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Yeah I think ESPN will feature a first person view or something like that. If it turns out to be good then I think I might give it a try.

As any Dreamcast owner will tell you, the NFL2K games have always been better than Madden.

I like Madden, but I'm hearing a lot of interesting things about ESPN Football. It's not just the helmet cam, but a lot of other features look promising.

Madden 2K4 has this 'crib' thing, where you win stuff in games to decorate your house =P

ESPN football is actually the new name for the Sega NFL2Kx series. So it should also be pretty good, i'm really looking forward to checking out the 1st person mode, it looks great.

Wouldnt it be a little confusing.Because all other football games are 3-d person so you know where everybody is and where to pass.

Watching the new vids on ign, it actually works. The passing icons are the same and you just have to kind of watch carefully, like a real QB on the field. When your running the ball, there are little arrows that come up, letting you know that someones coming to sack you in that direction. And time SLOWS down like the matrix when you run through the line. It's kind of cool.

I'm all for SEGA reclaiming it's throne as the sports king, or at least to give EA some competition. EA's sports games are the same every year now. I've always been a fan of the flashy SEGA transitions, and now with ESPN, it's going to look fricking real =P Like I'm watching TV or something.

One of the things people at Operation Sports were raving about is the presentation. I guess there's a demo already available... people liken the experience to actually watching ESPN broadcasts. Also, the animations are supposed to be second to none.

Hey all. Moved this to general, as things were getting pretty off topic. Feel free to discuss this year's sports lineup all you want here.

Really why not just change the year and you can have this same debate . I really don't understand why waste money on the same game you had last year with a couple of changes.

Well... 2K4 has got some more radical changes than before, which is why more people are excited about it.

Madden seems like the same game every year. It's a good game, but not good enough to buy yearly.

And I want to correct my previous post, actually ESPN Football DOES have the Crib thing, not Madden.
