Is it possible to get the replays off my 360 and onto my PC? I would like to be able to send/upload them.

If you mean the actual replay data files - I don't know.

If you want to upload replays to YouTube so people can watch them...

Record them while playing them on your TV.

    -or-

Play them directly into a video camera (plug 360 into camera inputs).

    Take resulting file, compress, upload.

Plauge, do you use free compression software, or you use something very similar to Divx?

Free? Technically, yes. I just use iMovie on my wife's work Mac. It works great except that it won't batch compress. Also, if I make one big-ass .mov file (as an answer to no batching a bunch of indiviual replays) and cut it apart in Quicktime Pro, the sound goes out of sync on the individual files.

I haven't looked for any other solution, free or otherwise.

Here's the whole process just in case anyone wants to know...

This is equipment and software I use...

    1) PS3 with S-Video and composite audio (red/white) out.

    2) DV Camera that takes those inputs so I can record directly.

    3) iMovie on Macintosh

    This is what I do...

    1) Plug PS3 into camera and set PS3 to output at 16:9. My camera is only 4:3 (if it were 16:9, step 3, below, would be easier). I play the replays into the camera until the tape is full.

    2) Plug DV camera into Macintosh via Firewire, Use iMovie to get vids off of camera. Each fight is about 600MB.

    3) I have a bunch of squished-looking movies at 640x480 (4:3) that I need to make look not-squished at 16:9. I set output as follows:

    VIDEO
    Compression: H264
    Quality: High
    Key frame rate: 150
    Bit rate: 1372 Kbits/sec
    Frame re-ordering: yes
    Encoding mode: Multi-pass
Dimensions: 853x480 (this is very important)
    De-Interlace Source = YES

    AUDIO
    Format: AAC
    Sample rate: 48.000kHz
    Channels: Stereo
    Bit rate: 128 kpbs

After about 20 minutes for one fight, I end up with a video that looks like
    this.

I then upload that to YouTube.

    on a (somewhat) related note,

i guess i'll just have to download the
videos and play them slowed down...
honestly the action is way to fast most
of the time to figure out, see what was
    happening..

i don't find the 'frame rates', or button
presses to be helpful at all, because once
again, they go by way to quickly to get
    anything out of them...

any ideas on making it easier, i don't expect
sega to fix the replays, because i don't think
people really want to sit back and analyze
    gameplay/framerates/moves etc....which makes
me wonder why they even bothered to put those
options in there in the first place???????

watching replays and video of tournament play is important when trying to become a better player. much like an NFL player will study tape of opponents to understand how to match up against them.
