Anyone else find it strange how much better this move is for Akira than it is for Goh.

For both it is 14 frames to execute, High P, Slam on hit or counter hit, and both are basically the same animation.
But that is where the similarities end.

Akira's is 4 points of damage stronger 22 vs 18.

Akira's is 5 frames safer. +1 on block vs -4 for Goh.

Akira has a variety of combos off of 46P that lead to 58, 51, 54, 53, 49, 54, 54, 55, and 54 (this assumes no counter hits).

Goh has a variety of combos off of 46P that lead to 41, 43, 45, 57, and 50 damage (this assumes no counter hits).

It just seems a bit strange that Akira's version of 46P is so superior to goh's

Also, Goh's only move that is +advantage on block is his Jab!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought that was crazy.

All this info was taken from the Wiki.

Instead of comparing it to the king of all 14f punishers, you should really be glad Goh has such a good 14f punisher at all, some characters don't.

I don't understand the need for a comparison.

There isn't one Feck. Sure you can compare them, but it doesn't mean jack. Both characters have a unique set of moves outside 46p, making the comparison mean nothing [IMG] I guess it's fun though?? I dunno, Lau's 46p is better too. But neither Lau or Akira have 70 damage throws, hit throws / sabaki's that beast up to around 50-70 damage.

Akira has a 70 dmg throw, a sabaki that does 50-70 dmg and a hit throw (does it really matter if it's a hit throw or launcher anyway?) that does above 60 dmg.

Oh I'll make sure it ends! Haha. I was just trying to point out a few things to explain why they can't be compared. Goh's elbow sabaki can do 90 damage in the right stance (seriously? don't even try to compare Goh and Akira's sabaki game). Has 2 throw directions that do near 70 (one does 65), on top of 2 MORE directions that do just as much as Akira's.

And he has full circulars and low throws!!!!(thanks feck!) [IMG]

/me hopes it ends here cause 2 moves that look alike don't need to have the same frames.

And Goh has the power to throw his dick over really high fences. /argument.

90 dmg from his elbow sabaki is not guaranteed. What is guaranteed is a [P][K] for total of 50 dmg. Akira's sabaki which sabakis the exact same thing as Goh's, if you do the right combo, does a lot more.

Since they're both intended to be 14f punishers I definitely think there's reasons to compare them, now just so happens that Akira in this case has the best. Fair cop.

First of all I don't think 46p is only intended to be a punisher. 2nd of all I said you COULD compare them, it just doesn't mean shit. The moves are different for a reason, that being, they belong to different characters [IMG]

Whereas Akira [6][6][6] shoves his dick through the fence.

In evo when Goh had a smaller toolbox, no pk, no basara, a weaker 46p & a much weaker shoulder I think standing him next to Akira & saying WTF made more sense.

Goh hardly looks like the Akira-foil Dan of vf4evo these days.

Leather trenchcoat, yo!
