A Deserved Apology...

First I'd like to apologize to Chibi. As cheap as I may have found your play in those last few matches, I should have not disconnected on you. I should have just sat there and tried to even the score on our matches. Sorry, frustration got the best of me.

For everyone else, don't think because I powered down on <u>one</u> well-known VFDCer that I am now some chronic-cable puller in need of rehab. Fact is, I'm recognizing some of your gamertags and I can recall running through some of you quite easily. That said, all the scrub-insinuations are unnecessary. The vast majority of you I've never played. All but one can say that I've disconnected on him. So instead of cosigning for dear-friends or veteran community members, come online, find me, beat me. Otherwise, you're saying absolutely nothing.

I don't understand why you're disconnecting. I've enjoyed our handful of matches together, despite the fact you've won like 8 out of 10 of them. You're a fine player, just play. You should realize by now the win-lose streak really doesn't mean much.

If people play in a style you don't enjoy, who cares. Ignore them. Focus on how well you do against the interesting players, whether you win or lose against them.

If you really do care about your win-lose ratio... well then, I guess I have nothing to say other than figure out how to beat rather uninteresting techniques. Disconnecting ain't the way.

But just for further iteration (and I don't want to beat a dead horse here), I don't really have that high of an interest in the win/lose ratio. I think I played Jerky during ranked a good 10 times in a row knowing that I was likely to lose every time--oddly enough, I actually enjoyed those losses. So I'm not really sure if it's the loss factor as much as it is the 'lose-to-what' factor.

All said, I was wrong for disconnecting. And as stated before, I'm trying to better my patience and learn how to get around certain strategies. Lately I feel I've been playing significantly better. I guess this is just part of the growing pains I'm encountering with this frustratingly difficult game. Either way, Chibi has my apology. It's up to him whether he cares enough to accept it. As far as everyone else is concerned, it's more like "Just shut up and play me."

Actually our games were really laggy so I didn't enjoy them either, but sometimes you can play someone laggy one day and have a good connection the other day. Even between 2 matchs it can be pretty different. So may be we can play another time so I can show you "I'm more than LP" lol.

I think I owe someone here an apology. Name's bladeX or something like that. We had this sequence of matches where I won the first two then he came back with a different character, handed me my ass for the next two fights and then somehow I pulled out a win pretty easily on the last match.

The first games that I won I e-mailed him saying GG but never heard anything back which is fine. After he soundly kicked my ass with his other character, I figured maybe was a little upset about losing the first fights but showed he was the obvious much better player. When I won the last match three straight rounds it didn't seem right.

I sent a message asking if he let me win that last fight cuz there was no way I could have really won like that. I think this pissed him off a little cuz the message back wasn't bad but I definitely irked him an do believe he thought I was talking shit.

This I do apologize. It was not my intentions and I wasn't trying to prove anything. I really didn't thik I deserved the last fight. So for the forum post but hey, it's an apology thread right?

 

Yeah, I believe I've found new ways to combat /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. I think you were probably doing a lot more damage with throw & stomp. In either case, it deserves some more matches. I'll need it if I want to play tourny-level one day.

As far as my connection is concerned, I can admit that although it's usually consistant it seems to fluctuate against some players. For instance, the dumb shit won't even let me connect to Flash at all. Perhaps it has something to do with my NAT settings. Who knows? I may just do a full swap on my router--grab me one of those high priced Microsoft ones.

Nah. After the public display that became the last thread I felt another thread would only be fitting for an apology. Albeit may amount to an opportunity for complete strangers to leave needless comments, the matter overall deserved a public apology. Not to mention, I would rather not leave people the impression that I'm some destructive nuisance that should be avoided.
