A Open General Video Game section?

I try searching, but couldn't find if someone ask the question, if someone did, LOCKED Thread.
I'm curious on why there's no Video Game section on this forum? Being a site full of dedicated gamers, I think it will be very easy for alot of us to have a section on Gaming. Then just posting on the General thread, were it get's tangle with and lost with everything else.
This is a site base on a Video Game, not on Sports, Anime, Film, Music, Fashion and so on. So, It will only make sense to have a Open General Video Game section on this board. It doesn't have to have sections(SONY, Wii, XBOX) Just Video Game related stuff should go there. Just my 2cents.

 

Make it happen Myke, make it happen! This makes alot of sense. Let's have it!

 

I think there are too many sub-forums as it is.

General is fine for discussion of video games, it doesnt seem to have stifled the MGS4 threads.

 

I like the idea. Sometimes I want to post about other games and feel skeptical about doing so in the General forums. Not sure why. A sub forum specific to other game discussions would be cool.

The way I see it, alot of space could be free up. XBL, Wii codes and PSN(More on this later)Sections could go to("Online Play")there for match making(Good example, the whole MGO thing)Alot of folks here play GTAIV, COD4, Tekken DR, Gran Tourismo 5P, Battlefield: Bad Company, MGO and other stuff. And when SF2THD comes, people are going to be going back and forth with VF5 when this drops for XBL and PSN. And with E3 just a few weeks away, it would be alot easier to keep track of the games and news("General Video Gaming").
The free space is just me implying that the XBL section should be rename to "Online Play" But, I see why Myke chose that route, it stands out, But what happens if VF5R does come to console, and is also Online for the PS3? Are going to rename the XBL section into "Online Play" and put the PSN section in there as well? Or is it going to turn into a general "Online Play" thread and any online match making(XBL, Wii, PSN or PC) goes there? I maybe thinking to far ahead, LOL!
