Absolution 2003 @ Namco in Luton

Hey to all the Virtua Fighter community. i would like to announce that 'absolution 2003' (a massive european event) will be held in 'namco station' in 'luton england'. it will be held at 26-28 september.

It wil include street fighter 3rd strike (arcade), tekken tag tournament, tekken 4, soul calibur 2 and virtua fighter 4 eolution (all console based).

entry fees are £10 per game. detail about prizes/rules/hotel will be confirmed soon.

hmm seems interesting but I'll need more details on this event. £10 entry fee! It better be freeplay at that price, sheesh. Or Prizes better be DAMN good.

 

10pounds!? well as it is on console, thats i bit expensive, hell it better have like a winner takes 50% or summing?

 

I might go i been to luton before it aint to far, but the £10 better be worth it.

 

hey guys, jus some new info, it's £10 for the whole tournament (that's all 5 games) so thats gotta be worth it rite? Ryan Hart (3rd place in virtua fighter 4 evolution in the evolution tournament in california) will be there to compete so that should bring in better competitors! and of course, the whole tournament is on free play. so are there any people interested in coming to the event?

 

hmm £10 is still a bit much for all games and the overall cost for me is huge. It's about £35 for travel, food, and to pay for the trny. I dunno. If more ppl decide to go then I might consider it. Need to know what prizes are up for grabs too cos Ryan Hart isn't gonna make me go there.

Have you got a website or forum about this news. It'll save alot of time for u. For now I'll stick with Game focus trnys.

Shame this wasn't announced a bit earlier, as I know myself and possibly some of the other Scottish players would be interested in this. 3 weeks notice just isn't enough for folk to book cheap transport.

Easiest way to get to Luton from here is via Easyjet, and as we all know the're a bunch of unreliable cunts and have recently pushed their prices up /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif

 

how do i get there from paris? i dotn know where luton is, but i know i can take the eurostar to waterloo and maybe change trains there? if you let me know how to get there ill more than likely go

That thread your just linked to states the tourney is held at the Trocadero in central London, not Luton. There's also no mention of VF4 except allot of folk requesting it be added to the itenary??

 

wh0a it's at the troc now is it. Hmmm. I read abit more of it sounds like prize money is £5000. sweet. But that cud be for TTT folks.

Free play too and free entry. Don't go on my word tho, I didn't read every post, theres like 7 pages. I cud be wrong on some things.

It's been switched to Luton cos of the london hotel prices. virtua fighter had such a big request that it was added to the line-up.

 

might as well write Ryans check out for tag and vf...

lol yah write out Ryans check now and the price to get to Luton is nutz. I've been to luton before to check out the Uni there. Teh train price is like £18 return!!! plus a 1 hour journey but much much less if u get the fast train. Like 40mins or so. Trust me that fast train lives up to it's name, lol.

I still dunno if I'm gonna go. I'll see like a week before.
