Akira Timing

Do anyone else have this problem? Trying to get the timing down for EVO Akira , has been tasking for me. Far more difficult than the SPoD, DLC, or knee (IMO).

Or, I am the only one has cannot get the timing down to do it consistently.

this move takes a lot of practice, but once you get the timing, you'll be able to do it almost every time.

Someone else said this, and I think it's the best suggestion: hit the 2nd P right when akira makes the "Hu" sound as the palm comes out. I learned to do it just by feel, but when I'm doing it in a tight situation like a combo, the above method works pretty well for me. The best time to practice is after a counter SDE.

Hi, I am a newly registered menber and I don't have any comment relavant to this thread's subject. I just wanted to write something to see how it looks. I am an Akira player by the way. Happy new Years!

 

One of the other thing to remember is that the second elbow is ONLY possible if the first hit either is blocked or hits the opponent. So if you are whiffing with the first hit, there is no possible way to do the second hit.
