Ok, I'm not seeing things and wish I would have saved the match. Has everyone witnessed how the replays often show a move hitting that really didn't connect? Well, I lost 2 drink points because of it! No joke!!

I've certainly played the game enough and have never noticed this before. Basically a move that would normally take away 2dp did not connect, then it did connect in the replay, and the next round I had 2dp less.

Has anyone else ever noticed this?

No, but that really is interesting.

How did it connect in the replay but not in game though?

Can you explain the final events of the round?

    I second this theory.

Something even crazier. Me and Feck had this one match where we were both on totally opposite ends of the screen. We were both near death so I poke with 3K, at the same time he did 214P (both using Akira) and the damn thing hit me. I mean distance-wise it wasn't even close to say 'hmm maybe it was a hit box issue'. I was several dashes away from him.

Yeah I had shit like that happen before. Also numerous times against lei I had a guaranteed back throw for 5dp and somehow shun teleports around to the front for the normal p+g throw instead so I got gaffled on 1DP. Happened a few times actually. First time it was funny but after the second I was kinda feeling cheated. lol

@ AZ I actually forgot about that, we were still way too far from each other for the 214p to hit but it did.

Maybe that's what happened to Jhow and he didn't realise it had hit till the replay.

Hey LA! How was Japan? I haven't talked to ya since you got back. I remember that Lei glitch also. But I haven't seen it in about a year, and only saw it once.

I should clarify one thing about the wrong replay stuff. It only seems to happen right before you push the start button to skip the replay. Basically whatever move is coming at you when you hit the start button will change things. If it didn't hit in the actual gameplay, it can hit in the replay and usually does. Maybe this happens more with Shun, but I see it daily.

Reminds me of a thing that would sometimes happen in the original Fighting Vipers. If you finished a non-match winning round with an armour break move (or if you used one in the last few seconds of the round) but it didn't break off the armour, sometimes, in the replay, the armour would break off from the attack and the next round they'd be missing it.

Somewhat irritating if it happened to you, but not if it was on someone else.

Most people press start and dont watch the replay but it happens way too often. I see things several times a night.

I've seen this happen specially when you skip the replay of both guys throwing out a move at the same time. Sometimes I've even noticed things that shoulda worked not work during the match (I blame it on online) but then during the replay I see my move that got beat out connect first /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif
I've even seen throws that missed connect during that small replay window.

I'm sure plenty of other people here have seen it too. Most of the time, if you let the replay play, it should act right but if you press start to skip at just the right time it kinda disrupts what the characters were doing and you get to see a glimpse of something that didn't happen, happen /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

This reminds me of the VF4Evo replays. Most of the time they would act right but sometimes they would mess up a move and then they would just stand there looking at each other for a little bit before they started doing their own thing and finishing the fight.
For anybody who doesn't know, replays is just the cpu mimicking exactly what the two players did in the last 3 seconds of the round. In Evo, sometimes the cpu would mess up a combo or not connect with a certain move or hit the wall in an awkward angle and that's how some of those "hiccups" would happen. It seems that the same "hiccups" happen during the 3 second replay when somebody goes to skip the replay during rare situations.

Japan was great but its hard readjusting to shun in 5. He's completely different and even worse, not being able to play the game anymore sucks too. hehe /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

In small amount of frames it takes for Lei to change stance, he's considered frontward. Im not sure of the situation, but Lei-Fei has just enough time to stance change after Shun's 3p+g (not sure on 43p+g). A bastard lei-fei could make a magic TE O_O

Hmmm I never seen this before... well I did see this when I was playing with Lei-Fei and I did the ->,->,P move. It didn't connect but I won the match. (Thank Goodness)
