Aoi's always kiking my ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's Not fair, Aoi always has a counter-attack for me, even my throws! Whenever i do a rising attack, she grabs my leg and puts me down again!!!! I'm using evade but she moves so fast!! Whenever i get a ranking match, it's always her!!!!!!!!!!! I'm using Lei Fei and i'm in 3rd Dan, could ya help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /versus/images/icons/frown.gif

 

Well, those are actually reversals. You need to make yourself not so readable. The CPU capitalizes on people doing the same move more than once.

 

Aoi, in my opinion, is one of the premier ass-kickers in VF. I
don't care what anybody says, she can lay down the smack
just as well as Jacky or Akira.

With Lei, if you don't diversify your attack OFTEN, any CPU
will read you. I've just started with Lei (1st Dan) but even with
all his stances, I'm getting caught up in a few basic manuevers.
Against Aoi, this is deadly, because the CPU Aoi is the most
mind-reading F'er in the game. Once down, DO NOT come up
kicking. Aoi will reverse it nearly every time.

CPU Aoi has two real weaknesses I see: for one, you can
sweep her, especially with Lei's great sweeps. He's got a couple of
them. Use that d/f d/f P (low knife? sorry, I'm VERY new
with him); it's a low attack, very quick. The second thing with
Aoi is she's light and can be floated. When I'm using Lau,
I always wait for her to come to me, so I can use the FC, d/f P and
lift her. One good damaging float combo will take a lot of her lifebar, and
then you can back up and WAIT. If you attack her, she WILL break
you. DON'T press her unless you're sweeping. CPU Aoi is instantaneous
in her reverses and will take advantage, particularly the closer to her you
get.

Also, CD in and out. You should always learn to CD all over
the place, but against Aoi it's important, I think, because she's kind of
linear, like Lau, in her attacks, but very contained and defensive: she's
very hard to get to, unless you get her off her feet.

That's the word from a fellow chump. My ranking matches
lately I end up against CPU 4th Dan Pai, who plays FLAWLESS and
dusts my Lau. I HATE playing Pai almost as much as Jacky, with
Aoi probably right there too.

I think I have a psychological disadvantage against Aoi however. I think
I'm kind of in love with her. Is there anything more adorable than her winning pose,
so demure and humble and vulnerable? Woof, baby.

Hey thanks, guys! I've been fighting better against her, i creamed a 10th Dan version of Aoi, and even got a promtion 2 min. ago! And on one other note, i CREAMED a champion vennesa (wish it was Aoi, then i'd be REALLY proud!)

amazing dude, i'm proud of you /versus/images/icons/crazy.gif i hate aoi so much, but i think the person i have the most trouble with is either jacky or sarah...jacky and sarah are just to F-in random and you never know what they are throwing at you...i've gotten to high king with shun and vanessa and now i'm workin on lion, and with all those people the biggest hassles were jacky and sarah

Against the CPU, you're right. Aoi's a bit cheap, as she can amazingly read your mind and reverse stuff that a human usually won't. But a person using Aoi... I've got nothing but the utmost respect for them.... myself included.
