The baseball season is nearly over and the races are getting good as well. My team the Orioles are out of it and have been out of it for a long time so I don't really care but they are still my team and have been that way since Cal was playing. The Yanks (the team I hate more than any other might win the division and will very likely make the playoffs and the cubs and brewers are fighting each other for playoff position

What is your favorite story of the season Barry becoming the all time home run king or some other story.

Seeing Josh Hamilton come back from his drug problems to actually play well. I thought that was a really good story.

The Red Sox are going through some issues right now, but despite that it's been one exciting season.

    - Mother's day comeback
    - 4 HR back to back to back to back
    - Clay Buchholz no-no (1st Red Sox rookie ever)

...and many many more magic moments. It's gonna be an fun post season if they can get healthy again and gather momentum lost from the red hot Yankees.

It's amazing with that pitcher, he pitches a no hitter and than get demoted to the bullpen! What do you have to do to get a starting job? hahahah

Yeah, however the mentality is you need pitchers with "been there, done that" under their belts. Handing the keys over to the rookies (we have some prospects, no? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif ) in post season play would be irresponsible.

My one most defining moment is when my all time favorite player Cal Ripken was immortalized into the Hall of Fame. He is still the model all players now should follow. He wasn't the fastest guy, or hit the most homeruns but he was consistent and never really waivered very far from where he was when he was younger. It also helped that he got many gold gloves as a short stop and 3rd basemen.

The playoffs are going to be a fun thing to watch but I really hope the Yankees get knocked off in the first round (they will very likely find a way in somehow Damn Mariners and Tigers thanks alot for choking at the worst possible time again). Aside from that it should be great and one should also remember this too. The Cardinals barely made the playoffs and won it all last year, the Tigers of last years weren't supposed to get in at all but they made it to the World Series. You can never count any team out if they get to the big game.

The Yankees will probably be up against the Angels. That will be a tough match-up, but once the playoffs start, it's a whole new season.

The winner of the world series should come out of the American League. The four that represent the league all seem strong.

    Yankees got pwned by Indians

Angels got UBER pwned by Red Soxs
(I swear to fucking god, we can beat the crap out of the yankees but WE ALWAYS LOSE TO BOSTON!?!? ARGGGG)

    Phillies got pwned by Rockies

    Cubs got pwned D'Backs

It'll be Rockies vs. D'Backs and Indians vs. Red Sox

My prediction: Red Sox beat Indians, Rockies beat D'Backs, Red Sox beat Rockies and prove that 2004 wasn't a fluke.

Next year prediction: Dodgers will still suck, Giants will play better now that they've gotten rid of that bum Barry Bonds, Angels will beat the Yankees then proceed to lose in an embarrasing fashion to the Red Sox, San Diego will choke... again.

    PEEEACCEEE!!
