What games from the past, now and future releases would you put on the top of your videogame shelf. I'm not talking about the fads, I'm talking about games that were well thought out, had great characters and were, are (or will be) ahead of their time. In other words, The Best of the Best!!!

Alien soldier? Maan, it was all about Alien Syndrone. Yeah Yeah! I'd like to see more sega reincarnation titles. Bring Alex Kidd back or Wonder boy. That woulda been a 3D Zelda killer. BUT, my favorite game ever of old school is Space Harrier..[6_][9_][8_][9_][6_][2_] Thats my move!

River City Ransom was one of my favorite NES games! I could play that for hours on end. My favorite series of all time, though, would have to be Metal Gear.

    Other ones I like:
    Castlevania: SotN
    Ape Escape
    Super Metroid
    VF4
Resident Evil 1 through Code: Veronica
    Silent Hill 1 & 2
Sonic 1 through Sonic and Knuckles

    Metal Gear Solid 2: SOL
    VF4
    Tekken Tag Tournament
    Grand Theft Auto 3

EDIT: add the whole super Mario series up to Super Mario World - then it sucked afterwards.
