Blast from the Past....

How's this for a reality check.

As everyone knows, I got shit-canned from my job (don't worry - things panned out better than I could've imagined) - thank you Japanese Ministry of Labor!

However, I did lose my compnay insurance (being that I had no company). So, I had to go get on national health insurance, which requires a trip to the ward office -- mine is not exactly in the middle of town, so I had to ride a choo-choo train to get there (no joke - 2 cars - and you pay the driver when you get on...very weird).

Anyways, I found myself done with some time, so dropped by a game centerin the area, saw the poster I was looking for, and threw my 100 yen in. Oops, wait, this ain't Evo. I found my first VF4 machine in Tokyo since Evo came out. Couldn't believe it. Then, wouldn't you know, the text was all in English. Hmmm?? WTF? Yeup - it was the western version of VF4, which was Ver.B. And to boot, the K butt stuck like mad. It was just like being back home - a great way to kill some homesickness.
