I was out and about this weekend and saw that "Bloody Roar extreme" had been released for the Xbox. Since my PS2 is still busted and I can't play VFevo I decided to pick it up as a diversion to playing lots of Soul Calibur 2. Basically, it is a real souped up version of Bloody Roar 3 from the PS2. Play is similar with more moves, lots of bells and whistles, and finally better story and CG endings. A more complete package now. I've never considered Bloody Roar to be a serious fighter, but it is fun to play. BRe definitely is a good bit of fun. If you have an Xbox and want a decent fighter to get you through until the release of Soul Calibur 2, then I recommend Bloody Roar extreme as a fun timestealer. It's not the quality of a NAMCO/Sega product, but it kicks the shit out of Mortal Kombat, Tao Feng, and Kakuto Chojin. They finally improved the sidestep game and back throw game as well. Well, rent it and check it out for yourself.

Oh yeah, CreeD if you still have those directions for adjusting my PS2 laser PM them to me or e-mail them when you get the extra chance. Thanks.

Haven't played it in awhile but I might give it a shot (Very skeptical tho).

ohh yeah. Thanks for the reminder. Here they are for everyone's happiness.

    1. unscrew the PS2 cover and remove it, then remove the drive's cover so the whole mechanism can be seen
    2. from the upper part, remove the magnet part... you should see a small white gear
    3. now connect it to a power socket
    4. put a disc in, put the magnet back on
    5. now you should proceed by moving the gear clockwise, on 'step' at a time....it makes the reading mechanism go lower. After each step, try to read the disc
    6. when it does read it, screw everything back and voila
-if it doesn't work in any setting, buy a new drive /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif
