regarding Horis VF EVO stick, has anyone noticed its tendancy to input comands/actions that u didnt input???
i think its to do with mobile phone emitions, as in RFI (radio frequency interferance) or even EMI
(no not the dead record label, Electro Magnetic interferance)
ive conducted tests an can say to get rid of said interferance you can got to maplin/radio shack an get a ferrite magnet choke to put around the lead!
as in namco sticks an all sony psx pads since 1998 hav! you know, the little plastic thing near the psx joypad contector
that peeps think is to hold when they take the pad off!

anyways you could put 1 or 2 on, best at the end, as it helps reject the interferance:)
also a thing that helps is not playing near a pc or mobile fone!
another thing that i do is set the controls to type A then put all the buttons to "no use" apart from the needed 3:)
anyways hope this is of help to you:)

Or alternatevly mod yourself a dreamcast stick /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif, those sticks give me no trouble and are built to last, everyone I know who has an Evo hori stick has had something go wrong with it within a few months /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif

From my experience with Evo Hory sticks, I found out that,

The stick is fine, but it tends to get loose as time goes.
I haven't heard an Evo hory stick broken in the stick part, either, so stick on it is fairly durable IMO.

The buttons are crappy. All sorts of trouble have occured as time goes.

If you are a kind of person who can use a tight stick, VF4 hory stick will work well for you. It is tighter than Evo hory but seems much durable in return.

Evo stick has shitty ass buttons. I've ran through two with the "rapid fire" problem. All the sticks that i've tried also have problem registering the [1] direction. You're best bet is to get the old VF4 stick. Much much better buttons, and doesn't have that "tilting" feel to the buttons. It goes straight in instead of wobbling left and right like the evo buttons. Get the old vf4 stick and loosen the stick yourself. Or swap it out with a custom stick you buy separately or something.

Where can you order or buy the VF4 sticks?
