1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

As many of you know, there have been some pretty significant Virtua Fighter tournaments (MoAT) held in Canada over the years. Nothing is official yet but there is some talk of hosting a tournament in Toronto Ontario at the end of the year. We are concerned however, that air travel between the U.S. and Canada requires a passport. (if you drive across the border you only need a drivers license and birth certificate) We may choose to move this event to New York, but first what I want to know is:

Are you interested in visiting Toronto to compete in a Virtua Fighter Tournament?

If you would have to fly there- do you have, or can you get a passport?

NYC is closer to me, so I am biased. However I would like to note that Passports are on a huge waiting list. Unless you can get in contact with your senators office its a real pain to get it in the proposed 6-9 weeks. That could be a real issue for those that needed to travel.

    My vote is NYC /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I see that nobody has gotten my hints..

A Toronto tournament would mean the next MoAT.

The thing is we here in NYC are planning something around September. Maybe we could combine the two?

Ok made the post more generic.

I still want to know if people are interested and able to travel.

heck- if you don't have your passport yet, you really should get one asap. Especially with WCG on the horizon!

Yeah I'm able to travel. I live in Toronto, lol.
Hey guys there is usually a big three day tourney here in the summer. And I believe this years T9 will be taking place as always in late July. All fighting games are played and a lot of out of towners usually come. Last year I wanted to run the VF5 tourney but there wasn't enough interest by the dead line for games. Now that we have the 360 version more people have showed interest and I think it will be a good venue to showcase VF to the public. If you guys plan on holding a Vf tourney here you might as well hold it at this tourney, details about T9 haven't been revealed yet but once they are I will keep you guys posted if you are still interested in coming.

I think quite a few of us would love to come to T9 if VF5 was part of the mix. I think if we were to run a VF5 tourney, we would do so anyway. Having a MoAT on its own, just VF, has always really been the way of doing it. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Please let us know, or point me in the right direction to find info, on when, where and what is in for T9.

If T9 had VF, I'd come. Fosho. (Assuming my passport gets finished in time.)

And if I do come, can we play O'Canada and our anthem as well before hand like hockey games :D?

Oh, doing it at T9 would be great. I would at least be able to bring 3-4 people who would want to play along with me.
