Original idea provided by @Stl_Tim :

Good to point out faults in our scene, but I also think that even if you remotely play, love, or talk more than an hour about vf than search for a solution.

Having said that, here is what I propose as a educational experience to improve vf knowledge for all as a whole.

1.Host a weekly show where you have one star player guest who is efficient in their character.
This person acts as the dojo master and follows a format that can be Easily understood by all.

2.Then there is the host and maybe one other personality to add a lighthearted appeal to bounce off one another.

    3. Next is everyone else who is the students who can follow along at home in dojo mode. The format will cover a solid and decent amount of information that can be applied to set a standard.

    4. Time could be utilized effectively until the end and leave that for q&a.

Hardest part is getting the show to stay focused w/o going to deep off the course.

If that would work we could set up some extra shows based on core fundamentals.

    Whatcha think??

Possible people to beta test this with could be:

    Host-Blitzball
    Kagemaru-Jami San
Co host-Hayato, Blackstar, or Shinybrentford if he is alive?!

Anyone interested please pm or contact blitz.

I have posted a poll for the potential Eileen players requested that would be a great fit to lead these sessions. Please take the time to vote for your top pick. The choices for this poll are @Tricky , @PKGJimmy , @JCnextinc , and @MarlyJay . if you have any other Eileen players that you can think of, please post them in this thread as well and I will count them as a vote. If anyone has any questions or any kind of feedback, please share. Thank you very much!

TBH i don't even really see the point of this with respect to Eileen. If Eileen beats you, it means you straight up got outplayed. For beginners against Eileen the answer isn't to learn about Eileen, but to 'VF' better.

I'm saying this as opposed to the other characters i used, Vanessa and Lion, where i sometimes feel quirks of the character can be used to give my opponent problems and i often scam rounds with scummy stuff i couldn't necessarily do with a different character or breaking the basic 'rules' of the game.

Is that sort of similar to say using gimmicks for certain characters other than your main to win?

I see the point in this project. I don't understand your confusion? It's simple, it's a community event in order to help educate players about things they may not understand or know. I'm still not understanding how this concept is hard to get?

From what I gather your saying play better vf, ok.
How can I play better vf? Is it in core fundamentals, reading, or understanding my opponents reactions?
Honestly, it encompasses all and slot more which you already know. To sum up it seems easy just to say, "play better vf", but that's not enough to get everyone as a whole to play stronger.

What I'm seeing so far is a lot of top players not wanting to even try or trying to pass the torch on to someone else and bowing out. No worries, it's their decision and I respect that, but know that these people can never complain about the navf scene, because now is the time to help and they won't.

Moving along, to the few that aren't ney Sayers and want to help, start putting together a format about your character to the best of your ability. We will work and learn from there. Love me hate, I don't really care just as long as we can build this stronger.

Thanks to the few that care to make a change.

I do think there are a series of things players should know about Eileen to not get blown up with her lvl 1 junk, even her level 2 stuff. The outplay comes really at the lvl 3 and beyond stuff. I wouldn't call them gimmicks because they're true mixups, but players need to know all the branches where the mixups are possible. I think a lot of players miss those branch points and hence feel powerless/confused when fighting against a competent Eileen player.
