Original idea provided by @Stl_Tim :

Good to point out faults in our scene, but I also think that even if you remotely play, love, or talk more than an hour about vf than search for a solution.

Having said that, here is what I propose as a educational experience to improve vf knowledge for all as a whole.

1.Host a weekly show where you have one star player guest who is efficient in their character.
This person acts as the dojo master and follows a format that can be Easily understood by all.

2.Then there is the host and maybe one other personality to add a lighthearted appeal to bounce off one another.

    3. Next is everyone else who is the students who can follow along at home in dojo mode. The format will cover a solid and decent amount of information that can be applied to set a standard.

    4. Time could be utilized effectively until the end and leave that for q&a.

Hardest part is getting the show to stay focused w/o going to deep off the course.

If that would work we could set up some extra shows based on core fundamentals.

    Whatcha think??

Possible people to beta test this with could be:

    Host-Blitzball
    Kagemaru-Jami San
Co host-Hayato, Blackstar, or Shinybrentford if he is alive?!

Anyone interested please pm or contact blitz.

I have posted a poll for the potential Jeffry players requested that would be a great fit to lead these sessions. Please take the time to vote for your top pick. The choices for this poll are @Jacko , @adamYUKI , @Arjay , and @Kamais_Ookin. if you have any other Jeffry players that you can think of, please post them in this thread as well and I will count them as a vote. If anyone has any questions or any kind of feedback, please share. Thank you very much!

Highly recommend @Jacko and @Kamais_Ookin! Both utilize a range of Jeff's moves and know character-specific combos and wall setups. @Jacko is especially creative. (I have a dated style and the only thing that keeps me alive is my experience.)

These two also happen to be cool peeps. :)

I appreciate the votes guys, I really really do. I'm just gonna be blunt here and say that I am not the most qualified. My honest opinion is that @Harpooneer is the best candidate for this. Remember, we're not talking about "best Jeffry" or "best player" we're really discussing most knowledgeable (101). I may have a natural instinct and good playing skills to make Jeffry look good (same goes for @adamYUKI with his very strong fundamentals and experience) but there's still a plethora of knowledge with the character that @Harpooneer knows more than me. We teach each other, but I think he has a better understanding of character specifics than I do, that his credentials get overlooked because I get more "screen time".

I am willing to play and just help naturally with the character experience, but that's gonna be on my opponent to make adjustments and not be a crybaby and whine.

I don't think this "teacher/student" format is too effective in late 2017 FS. I think people just want to play and if they have a weak match-up they need to play more and ask questions on the forum regarding what they did wrong and how to beat things. The info is here on VFDC, people just need to care enough to actually LOOK.

@Jacko understands the risk/reward of Jeffry really well, and he can speak to that probably better than anyone on the list. It's so crucial for Jeff to take risks because it is one of the only ways for him to get significant damage. No plus frames for days, no super high damage throws, no guard breaks or lows. It's all timing and risk assessment. If this was some nerd podcast about frames, setups, and super specific match stuff I'd probably be your guy. I'd be happy to do it, but @Jacko is a great person for it, and I'd even be interested in hearing some old school Jeffry stuff from @adamYUKI the man with the old school playbook. I was really impressed with his style when I saw it at NMTC. As far as @Kamais_Ookin, I thought that guy played Pai...

Side note: I'm also not too active online as I'm sure most of you have noticed, and even though I'm always saying I want to be it never works out. So my vote is for Jacko, but I'd call in or something to be an annoying stat guy if needed.

@Jacko wins this poll, but @adamYUKI gets the strong 2nd place. You really can't go wrong with either of these 2, but we can't forget about @Harpooneer either. Please reach out to myself or @Stl_Tim with your availability. Thank you very much!
