Character Choices

I'm basically new to VF. I've only played VF a few times at a friends house about 7 years ago. I'm not sure which character would be best for me to play as. I generally play a balanced style(both offensive and defensive) in fighting games. In Tekken I play mainly as Asuka, Jin, and Hwoarang so characters similar to one of them would probably be good for me.

I'll try Jacky and Akira to see which character best suits me. What kinds of moves does Jacky have?

If you used Asuka's cancels into throws a whole lot (I did/tried), check out Aoi. She is harder to win with, but these aren't Tekken 5 tiers.

If you want to learn all the basics of movement and have easy combos, go to Jeffry. He is on the slower side, but if you play good players at least one combo looks good for you damage-wise (hooray for me).

 

I've been playing as Eileen today. So far I'm undefeated in quest mode with over 50 wins and 0 losses so I think I'll stick with Eileen for a while. I might play as some other characters at some point but for now I'll be playing as Eileen.
