I'm a person who tries to make it to church every Sunday, and I was wondering how many of you are Christians. Sound off here, I began to wonder about this when I saw a guy named atheist on a post.

 

The Bible = Ancient children's bedtime stories that ended up in the wrong hands.

Listen, I wanted people who were Christians to post here, is there anything wrong with that? I'm not saying that I hate you because of your beliefs, I'm just saying that I wanted Christians to post their ideas, for the same reason that I wouldn't like someone talking about beer on a forum that was about Coke, or vice versa. I'm not trying to insult you.

I'm a very heavy crusader for religious tolerance and diversity. If Snake Eater would have posted something like, "I'm a Christian AND ALL YOU NON-BELIEVERS ARE GOING TO HELL", I'd bitch at him for being an intolerant idiot too. Sure, there are some religious people can behave absolutely horribly towards those who don't share their beliefs, but simply because you DON'T believe gives you no excuse to behave the same way.

Myself? Mostly agnostic with Catholic roots.

Although foul-mouthed at times, I am Christian. My new-wife, however, is not, which made for a strange wedding, and I'm sure we'll have some head butting in the event we make a critter. I'm kind of all about diversity, and not pushing things on people. So I plan to teach any offspring my religion, she can teach them hers, and then when they're old enough let them make their choice.

My beliefs are quite a bit off from my mothers.

 

eh, ... my family are from the church of jesus christ latter day saints (i.e mormon), i'm a christian, but i'm not a catholic.. a more defined difference is that there are more books of transcribed documents to reference from rather than just the bible alone.

i guess i can't really explain the whole thing without getting my tounge tied, but i'm sure most christians must have heard of it... personnally i don't like separating any believe from each other, or separating people, the main thing people of the world should have in common is to respect each other.. that i'm sure almost every religion should teach first an foremost, especially those related to god and jesus christ.

Im an aethiest but I have always respected religion for those who believe, I don't parade my ideas around. But my girlfriend now is christian so thats kinda wierd.

That's pretty much how I am. I used to be a total asshole athiest when i was a teenager, now I try to respect whatever people choose to believe in.

 

Sorry, still don't believe in that whole god thingy or religion. Higher education and my bull shit philosophy on reality/life prevents me from ever being categorized with the rest of the world.

Lastly, If I hear another fucking person on the train go on about jesus coming to saves us. I will go postal on their ass. /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I'm a active member in my church. I hold so many positions: usher, choir member, SS teacher, VP of men's group. It's not easy but I put my trust in the Lord to do my best.
