    Hey bros.

It is time to have our thread here.

Beside having weekly gathering, let's post news, informations

    here.

It is a new start, and we will keep getting better.

    Cheers,

    Hey hey hay!

From Cleveland here, and the only competition is at the local Dave & Buster's. Am really intrigued by the prospect of gatherings in OH!

Don't worry about that cause we can get some mad gatherings here. Every weekend we have a group of our VF players that come over here to play each other and if you are willing to drive from Cleveland you are more than welcome to come.

I'll be moving to Cleveland this August, so I'm looking for other VFers in the area.

Is Columbus pretty far from Cleveland?

It's about a 3-hour drive. You might want to wait until we have our next gathering at OSU (we have one every quarter). Other than that, like was said before, we get together every weekend so anyone is welcome to come!

Coincidentally, who all do you other Ohio (or soon to be Ohio) players play character wise? I, personally, am a Lei Fei player.

OSU - Ohio State University? I believe that is in Cleveland? Good news for me.

I currently only play with P. chan, and am learning the basics of other characters (Akira and Kage).

Nope, it's in Columbus /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. I just suggested that since it would be more worth the drive than just hanging out on a weekend.

    OSU is in Columbus, OH.

It will be a 3 hour long drive from Cleveland, I guess.

I think that it would not be easy to drive 3 hours for just

a weekend gathering, even though we play until pretty

late, so the tounamnet might be a better option.

BTW, I heard that there is a VF4 machine in Cleveland

. Can anyone tell me how VF4 is popular at that

    arcade?

    Bad news.

My computer got messed up last night.

I don't know what I did wrong, but all of sudden D drive

(my second hard drive) is not exist.

I installed windows in D drive, so I can not even boot

    my computer now.

If anyone has an idea what has happened here,

    Let me know. /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif

My class will be over at 2:30, so I can be at Sean's by

Sounds good, man. BTW, if you can, bring your computer with you (just the tower) cause I might be able to fix it (I'm A+ Hardware and Software certified).

    Dandy J,

It's 4:00 pm, and if you are surfing on this site, post a

    reply right after this.

I have something to tell you, but this computer in

school doesn't allow any kind of messenger.

I'm down for whatever Wednesday. Just remember, someone needs to bring their system. We must get more info as to what we are to do as far as MoAT is concerned.

This is pretty damn pitiful. I'm sick and tired of hearing how good anyone and everyone else in the free world is. This is my challenge to everyone on VF.com or at least anyone who reads this post to get up and rise up to the level of play we need to be at (everyone knows of what I speak). We can't just sit back and oggle the Japanese players while sitting back and being impressed by quadruple throw escapes and Taiwan steps everywhere. The only difference between ourselves and them is the mind state (and if one person posts saying "....but the level of play....." I swear to God........ ) At any rate we know where we need to be as Team Columbus, Team USA, Etc. so let's get there.

I agree with Sean's point of view.

I've watched tons of Japanese, Korean, and U.S

movies. (Eventhough there are not many U.S movies

    out there.)

I personally watch and enjoy virtuafighter movies

because I can learn a lot of things from the movie and

motivate myself in playing game more seriously.

Because of the limited VF scene in U.S, we don't get to

play variety of level of ppl, but if we keep working hard

and not get intimidated by higher level of plays, our

    level will certainly go up.

If you a certain gap in level of play between better

players in video and himself, try to watch and learn

    and not frustrated.

It is them who expose their knowhow and skills to

everyone else in the world. All you have to do is absorb

their skills and start getting closer to their level.

VF4 is a complicated game and that's why the game

is great. What makes players in video good is their

unmeasurable amount of practice behind it.

If you learn, practice and keeps getting better,

someday people will watch your video and try to learn.

Just a little suggestion for the team.

I have been working on the challenge mode in evo and

realized that stuffs in this mode is very critical to

    increase your level of play.

I heard that a lot of ppl quit this mode after they got

frustrated by the first fudge guard challenge.

    Skip the fudge guard!

There are other things that even more useful in real

battle such as getting out of stagger challenge, just

tech roll practice and more importantly, throw

    escapes.

I think that before MOAT, we need to become able to

get out of stagger and escape throws in a certain

    extent. Let's do this folks.

    Hey,

Since my family moves to the South, it will be close

from the new house to Sean's place.

It is good for me, but it is a lot of serious work.

(I should have thrown away bunch of craps

    before /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif)

No VF4 for at least half a week. I will see if I dream

    a vf4 dream or not.

Take care all ya and post anything here for the team.

    Peace,
