I apologize if this is off-topic or the innappropriate forum for this, as I am new, but where exactly on this forum are combo videos?

Combo videos don't really occur much. Most of the videos are matches.

You could have done a search, but the truth is that the combo videos you would have found are probably not hosted anymore. And keep in mind that it says no requests in the media thread. We wouldn't want you to get "told off" by any of the less tolerant people /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

    Thanks /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

But when people do post videos (either combos or matches), is it usually here on this Media forum?

There are a few combo videos out, and I've been working on a gigantic every-character combo video for a while now. If you want to get the old combo videos or check out some test clips from mine, you can find me on IRC as KreeD0.

Click the irc link under dural's nose to find out about irc, if you're new to it... once you're on just /msg me.

In my opinion, match vids are better to watch when playing VF than combo vids.

Sure, combo vids give you the bread and butter stuff you need to do big damage. But if you can improvise, and know your own moves, you can create different combos for a multitude of situations. I feel like when I watch Chibita, that he looks at every situation and starts one of his many flowcharts that are appropriate for that specific situation.

Creed, I dunno if you're going to use a music for the combo video, but if you do, use this one: Burly Brawl from Don Davis Vs Juno Reactor. It's the one used in Matrix:reloaded in the fight between neo and the Agent Smith's clones. Trust me, IT ROCKS (and I think it's big enough..).

TBZone has combo videos. (All done by ShinZ.) I'm not sure what happened though, last time I checked TBZone was down.

    So...anyone want to update me?

Yeah, but you would have to watch like a thousand matches inorder to see some of the combos that are in most combo videos. I mean I have a couple random Akira combo vids, and they have stuff like the 2/3 DLC wall combo, or [1]+[P]+[K]+[G][P] follow ups, all stuff you rarely ever see in matches. Not to mention stuff like Shin's Brad combo videos, I mean when's the last time you saw a Brad video, let alone with multiple wall combo's in it? /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I think you should watch combo videos for combos, and watch normal match play for flowcharts and offensive/defensive patterns.

The cool thing about combo videos (which are very rare for VF) is that you get to see all the crazy stuff that would never ever happen in a real match. VF isn't as broken as, say, Marvel, which is why people have less incentive to find weird stuff, but wall combos and improbable situations like Tragic's Sarah videos can still be great to watch, especially with the right music.
