Corrupted File

AHHHHH how did my file get corrupted? /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif god, i had all 100 items of kage and i was 96 freaking percent done with him [excluding some parts of challenge mode] omg, that's 1900 battles down the drain. -_- is there a way, any possible way, that i can reverse the corruption of the file??? thank you guys sooo much if you guys can help me with this.

 

I don't think the file can be recovered. Just make a backup copy next time.

 

Scary, I have 6 champion characters. I´m going to buy new memorycard and take DREs advice.

 

What kinda mem card do you have? A Sony original or a 3rd party?

Having a backup card (even a cheap one) would be a good idea, although I think I won't be buying another one anytime soon. Too expensive. And I haven't had any trouble with my (Sony) memory card before. As far as I know, problems usually occur when people press reset/power button when they shouldn't... Or when there's Xport/Sharkport involved someway.

Besides, it's not such a big deal if you lose your file. That file won't do you any good when playing against other people... You need something else.

 

haha i think it's a pretty big deal if i've spent a couple of months on it don't you think... anyway, forget this problem, i'm just going to practice now, screw quest

 

Riiight, in a week youll be back on track to getting all your items back /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

 

I'm sure it pisses you off to lose the items...but I believe you've earned something more valuable from those couple of months...

 

hahah you bet. i was just watching some of the replays that i saved [somehow the replayes were not corrupted -_-] and the recent ones look pretty good while the older ones SUCKKK.

 

Starting over is a big hassle indeed, but if you just try to unlock the 8th arcade quickly, it won't take that much time. It can be done in a day.

As another option, If you know some Kage players who play Quest, you can get their files duplicated onto yours. Just go to the system file under option and hit "Save". Then pull out your friend's memory card and put yours in. Hit ok, and then you are good to go.

 

hahah yea i thought of that also but the truth is most of my friends don't really play vf, or at least they don't play kage -_-

 

Heres a story to make you feel like less of a fool.
I once pulled out my mcard when saving and lost everything. I have 2 champions, most of the wallpapers, all verses features ect. I lost all my data, started again 3 months ago and now im nearly back where I was. Ive done a hell of a lot of play though. And I truly only have the heart to champion-ise my Sarah /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Anyway I now feel my new data is far better than my old. So i just say get it over with if you really love the game!

 

that seriously sucks... well, my card got corrupted too while i was playing gran turismo /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. i mean, i love the game, but it takes forever to getting to 90% agen... im not doing it over, but something that i didnt lose with my memory card was my skillz so im not totally down.

and o ya... after the corruption, the memry card didnt save anymore... so all my other games were basically put to waste... meh, thats life i guess.

PS. IT WAS AN OFFICIAL SONY MEMORY CARD. i kno it doesnt happen often but why me?!!
