Deus Ex Human Revolution - help??!

Hey, I am at the Shanghai Justice quest where you have to hack into the room in the club. I have nothing to help stop the computer from catching me (only 2 nuke virus things). None of the shops seem to be selling anything. Anybody help a brotha out?

 

Have you augmented the skill that lowers the possibility of getting detected when hacking into a computer? If not than you should. It will help a lot.

 

One of the first things I did was level up the hacking to max. If you cant do it just save before it, have a go and reload the save if you fail.

 

If you have the Punch through walls augment then theres a room in the sewers of Hengsha that has about 5 Nuke devices in it.

Or if you have any Praxis points then level up your hacking stealth.

Im on my second playthrough and just finished this mission, that hack is so annoying.

 

Hacking and Hacking Stealth are the first upgrades you should get. Hacking Stealth level 3 is VERY helpful. As you go along you'll find you'll have an abundance of Stops and Nukes. On all three playthroughs I hacked pretty much everything and ended up with about 50-60 of each.

If you are really desperate, you could pay for the Explosive Mission Pack DLC and use the automatic unlocker. That'd bypass the hack minigame, but you'd have to buy an unlocker from a merchant.

Oh, and do we all agree that Bill Taggart is a prick?

There was also a point in that club on Hard where you get spotted by a guy while trying to hack a panel. You can't take him out because citizens will alarm the swarm of bees, but you can place a trash can on the bar to obstruct his line of vision on you haha.

 

Hey it just occurred to me, you don't have to hack the door. You can convince the head waiter/bouncer whoever he is to let u see the boss. You get an achievement for this as well.

This is what I did. I couldn't remember a hacked door in the mission but it just clicked with KrsJins comment.

You do it the first time you speak to him. The social analyser is supposed to help (and would prob guarantee it) but I didn't use it, did it on my first try as well

 

That's a different panel. That's the one to get into the basement. The one that Shadowdean was referring to was the one that doesn't open any doors, but allows Malik to hack in so you can finish the quest.

It's opposite the place where the "Manager" is, although he should have moved by that point, and no guards or customers will spot you while you're hacking it.

 

Ah right my bad. Can't really remember that bit being an issue.

 

Man, I am still having trouble with this. I am trying to find stop hacks to buy, but nobody seems to be selling.

 

Have you found all those nuke virus software in the sewers I was talking about?

Try hacking some lower level stuff and going after the data stores.

Everyone may know this already, but when you're doing a hack, before starting to hack anything, see if you can get to the red tracer node (without having to go through the green target node) first. Doing so will complete the hack and automatically get you all the bonus items/money/exp data stores in the hack.

It makes hacking a lot easier and faster, and it's the easiest way to build up more stops and nukes.
