Just buy a new one. Switch serial number stickers and return it back

Can you switch the serial number stick? How come MS doesn't know old type console with new serial number?

 

I already submitted the support ticket and it's OK that I'm without it for a couple weeks. I've got a DVD to finish.

I appreciate the offer. Mine is still under warranty so I'm not paying anything to fix it. Shipping is covered, too. If you were to fix it, I'd want to pay you. I wouldn't want you to fix my 360 for free.

Yeah not a good time because this is exactly what pirates / banners are doing right now. Except they are completely gutting the systems, taking out the insides and swapping it with the banned console guts and then returning it for full refund.

I do not recommend this right now. Maybe a few months ago, but not right now. If you have warranties use them. If your system is banned and under warranty then force it to red ring is a better option. Wrap it in a towel so it over heats, red rings and then take it back and use your warranty.

 

Can you actually fix the banned console? I heard the hard drive is not allowed to use so which means I only need to get a hard drive?

 

I don't think this is true Dennis0201... and when MS bans you it's not the hard drive they ban. They ban the actual system. You can take the hard drive off and use it on another system. MS never bans your account... just the system. I mean they can ban the account if they want to, but trust me you have to do a whole lot worse than just modding your system. If they are going to ban your account trust me you will know because they will send you a big warning to stop doing what ever it is that you are not suppose to be doing. If you keep it up they will suspend your account as a first warning. If you keep on doing it after the suspension then it's bye bye you no come back to xbox live.

The only way to come back after that is new system and new account.

 

Apparently there is a fix for it, I remember reading about it the other day. Sounded pretty tricky to do though, i'll see if I can find the link.

Please don't encourage serial number swapping, deceptive product returns, console-unbanning, and related things on VFDC.

 

I think it's much better to get a new system if your xbox is ban because in order to fix a banned xbox you must extract the cpu keys from a unbanned 360 to place it the banned one,so it's not worth it.
