Do you use headset?

I always use headset when I play with other headset polish user.
Most of the time (especially ranking matches) I switch it off.

In the other hand I really like when people use it. Even if they don't talk to me, it's nice feeling to hear how they try to throw escapes or say "ow fcuk" when loose 100dmg on juggle.

Lately I try to keep my headset on.

The fight seems to be more "real" and more similar to offline gaming.

Mine broke ages ago but since playing VF5 i'm considering getting a new one. I noticed quite a few of the high level players on are try and give advice over the mic but I can't really discuss it with me not having having a mic.

Cheers to flash, manji, kamji and whoever else attempted to give me advice over live, lol.

EDIT: I'm actually quite shy about talking over the net, thats the main reason I didn't bother buying a new mic + I have the worst accent ever... I'm just gonna have to get one and get over it.

I'd consider using one ONLY to get some advice from the top players. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Most of the people I run across don't use one. Most that do have nothing interesting to say. Therefor, I usually have mine plugged in, but muted. I hear someone say something, I'll turn it up and listen. If I'm impressed, I may say something. But I normally don't communicate with it. I'm not smart enough to fight and talk at the same time.

I pretty much always have mine on. I'm not sure why people who play fighting games on Live never talk. I don't need your life story, we're not on a date or anything but it kinda sucks playing in sillence. I usually just talk to see if I can get the other person to chime in, after all it's just a game we're supposed to be having fun.

Personally, I'd rather not chat. I'm just there to take you out and get the win. I've chatted to a couple of people online and it's all good sometimes, but that's not the reason I'm playing. I wanna beat you, rank up and play the next game.

Player match is different I guess. I can chat there.

Chat is distracting. I almost never have mine plugged in unless I know the person from offline games.

Ranking is pointless on live, it's so inconsistent and stupid it hurts. VF5 online is all about learning for me, so in player matches where I am learning and having fun... a helpful high level player with a mic is good stuff.

I usually have it on, but I don't speak unless spoken to. It's nothing personal, it's just I can't do both focus and play while talking randomly. After the match is over I am more than happy to chat away!

I'm with you Beligerent. Other than loving to see your own record and have a name instead of a number its pointless. I can't find any 10th dan lately since i haven't played Ranked in months.

Other than that No headsets. My DOA stick took a beating during the DOA4 era. I Powerslammed that shit so much playing that game the headset port just don't work anymore. Beside i don't need hear the opponent voice. Its distracts me knowing their is another
human on the other side instead of another victim. I guess hearing the voice make them emerge more as a person lol!

I usually have one on, but I usually don't take it off mute. (Half the people can't hear my mic so it gets annoying.) Get some wierd stuff from the other end though. One Lei Fei player was growling like a panther or something (in between telling his kid stuff no less) the entire match.

I don't like to speak unless spoken to, and even then if it's not worth the hassle I'm not even wasting my breath. Then there's that annoying buzz I'm usually dealing with when I have my headset in. That being said, I don't mind talking when it's over or if the stuff's funny as hell. There's jibber-jabber and there's some good advice being past down.
