I want to know if anyone has a good FAQ for Wolf. One that describes certian moves to use in certain situations, and combos, etc. I havent really found any FAQs that are that good for Wolf (or for any person really, for that matter).

So I was wondering if anyone has a FAQ for Wolf could you post a link to it or something.

If you go to the front page of this site and click wolf's name on the left, you might have some luck. You could also try the search button.
Some really quick, simple tips: Wolf's basic game is to force people to guess between a float combo or a throw. To set up the guessing game, use a safe high punch or a low punch.

    Good throws: HCB+P+G,P+G --> u+P (pounce). HCF+P+G. df,df+P+G.
Use these after blocking your opponent's risky moves. If you look on this site through the movelists, look in the column with all the negative numbers. Any move that is listed as -8,-9,-10... etc is counterable with one of wolf's throws if you block it.

Low throws: use these after blocked sweeps or similar strong low attacks. You can also try this: vs. an opponent who likes to low punch every time you block their attack, try to stuff their low punch with yours and then immediately enter a low throw. For example block their move, then do d+P, then immediately df+P+K+G. If it works, your low punch stuffs theirs, they're left crouched and stunned for a split second, then your low throw scoops them up.

Good float combo starters: f+K or b,f+P+K. The basic combo that works on almost everyone is f+K --> P --> b+P ---> u+P.

    Good moves to poke with:
-P - if it interrupts the opponent's attack, it's a good idea to try for a throw.
-d+P - ditto, if it stuffs their attack, a throw is very likely to work. If it doesn't because they attack as soon as they are hit... mix up wolf's from-crouch moves like FC, [2][3][6][P] or FC,[3_][P].
-b+P ... if it hits, you get a guaranteed u+P for about 1/4th of the opponent's life. It's decently quick but it can be ducked.
-HCB+P,P - fast, and if the second punch is blocked, wolf is safe. You can also do one HCB+P, then combo into a low kick.
-f,d+K - it's not much a sweep because it only knocks down if they are caught during an attack. But if it does knock down, do the u+P pounce. Total damage is about 1/4th life. It's risky if blocked, but most opponents should be scared to block low because of wolf's strong mid attacks.
-db+P - if your opponent likes to crouch a lot, this will hit them and make them stagger backwards. Try a throw right away and it will often grab them just as they're done staggering. If they somehow get out of the throw, mix in wolf's b,f+P+K instead and do a float combo. This is probably the quickest move wolf's got vs. people who crouch or do low attacks a lot.
-f,f+P .. this is a very slow move, but if it catches the opponent guarding it knocks them over. If it catches them moving or attacking, it knocks them over and does decent damage, and an u+P pounce is very likely to connect. The slow speed ot this move makes it best against enemies who are defensive or back dash a lot... offensive opponents will kill wolf while he's running forward. If the move misses entirely because they ducked... it's not too bad because wolf is to the side or behind the enemy and the attacks they can punish with may be limited. Still, it's not safe. It's just one of those attacks that seems to work a lot.

That's about it. Remember to always make them guess between wolf's 40% combos or 40% throws. Winning these guessing games is what allows you to win with wolf.

good stuff... one small comment though, Wolf's 270 throw (KS) is significantly better than hcf+P+G unless you're trying for RO.

Hey thanks. Thats really helpful for me, since I am going to use Wolf for my main character. I had slightly different tactics than that and it has done me well (238 wins and 17 losses). But those are helpful.

I have tried looking on this site and using search, etc. trying to find anything on tips or FAQs for Wolf but there doesnt seem to be much that is really helpful or none at all. And it seemed that for a while my Wolf tactics didnt work too well (maybe I was too into the throwing). But I havent really needed help since I posted this, one day my Wolf and I just clicked and I dominated.

But I'll use those, thanks a lot.
