Doing down p to elbow

    I've seen people performing down p to elbow in those Vf clips but I've no idea how to do them. Tried to do down p, move the joystick to neutral then forward p but the forward p always came out as a full crouch to forward p move /versus/images/icons/confused.gif (although it could very well be my execution problems). Can anyone help me with this?

    d+P to elbow with which character?

    If you are playing a character with a canned from crouch, f+P attack, and want the standing f+P attack, you can do a couple of things.

    1. d+P -> b,b (makes you back dash) -> f+P
    2. d+P -> f,f -> f+P (but some characters have f,f+P moves)
    3. d+P, wait about 7 frames, f+P.. which sort of misses the point, since you want an elbow right away.
