Either I'm getting better, or Wolf is really, really, really good.

So far I've logged about 450 matches with Goh, Shun, and Brad. I've played about 50 with everyone else.

I decide to pick Wolf. I've always how you say...SUCKED using him before. I could never get how throws to come out with regularity on the pad. But, I have a VF4 stick now (ROX), so I'll give it a shot.

60 Wolf matches later and I am a believer. Wolf is awesome. Can this guy get any stronger? I'm just a novice, but I get the impression this guy has arguably the strongest throwing game around, while also housing a surprsingly good striking game. Goh is up there as agrappler, but stronger then Wolf in the throw department? I don't know. Whatever the case, I really think Wolfs strikes are a lot better then Gohs...so for the time being I'm all over Wolf.

Seriously, this guy is a monster. I'm surprised I don't hear more people praising him. Unless I am missing something?

You can probably think of Goh as a "defensve thrower" whereas,by contrast, Wolf would be an "offensive thrower". Goh's sabaki and deceptive-type moves make him pretty hard to attack. Slows the pace of the match down, which is to his advantage.

Wolf still struggles against pokers, although he's got tools to deal with [P] and [2][P]. He is still pretty damned strong, though. Probably stronger than Jeff, but without Jeff's combo potential (then again, who needs combo potential when you can take off 100 pts with one throw).

Thanks for the input. I've noticed when I use Goh he just slows the match down...cool.

dude i feel the same way about that. i am an akira player but i started playing as wolf just today, and he rocks. i got high king rank for wolf in vf4, but he is really powerful in evo. i really really love that [4][4][G]+[P] >>[6][G]+[P]. it does a good 70 damage but the best part is that it evades. i can fool just about everyone with that if i time it rite. the [4][6][P]. and [6][6][P] are always good when you want to play hit n run. damn, i have bin playing as him for like 3 hours n im stil not bored! /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I think wolfs really good too, not alot of people agree with me though. Giant swings my favorite move and
    [6][6][P][3_][P]+[G] is exellent, unless they duck. Against low rank opponents I use [6][K] [4][K]+[G][K] [3][P]+[G] and [4][6][P]+[K] [4_][P] [3][P]+[G] or [4][6][P]+[K][P][P][P]into wall[P][P][P] and [3_][P]+[G] if they don't recover.
    WOLF IS THE BEST!

Although I dont play either I think that wolf is much better than Goh. Throwing wise I always tend to fear Goh more than wolf, mainly because of the defensive role he takes. Wolfs striking attacks just seem to take pole position in comparision to Goh. Then again I dont really like either of them.

7om and I always seem to get into a debate into where Wolf stands on the tier-list. Pay no heed to him, although I dont go Wolf, I beleive he is the highest mid tier there is, that being said, he is a great character.

It's all about buffering throws. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'm a Stormlord with Wolf on VF4. I've always found Wolf's [6][6][P] and [4][6][P] extremely useful at knocking opponents on their asses. Also try [8][8][P]+[K]+[G], it's great because it evades attacks, can be a great opener, and deals good damage but watch out for a throw escape because you can see it coming a mile away.
