Escaping Vanessa's reversals

I've seen the CPU escape from Vanessa's (DS) b+P+K / db+P+K high/mid punch reversal, but I haven't been able to find out how to do it myself. Can anybody give me the command and timing for this? Can any other reversals be escaped?

Also, is there a way to escape the face punch after being hit with Vanessa's (DS) f,f+P+K takedown?

 

Don't punch or kick - and you've successfully avoided. You can't escape a reversal.

What you're talking about is her auto-parry/auto-throw thing. From that, she can either throw you down (+) or start kicking you . YOu counter by inputting that command.

 

You can escape her HP and MP reversals by pressing P+G when she reverses you, but you will still take 20 damage, well at least in version C.

 

Thanks BMF, will give it a try. It's amazing how few people seem to know about this (you don't escape the entire reversal; you still get connected by the punch but you escape before the neck extension). No Vanessa FAQs seem to mention it, and it appears even GaijinPunch didn't know about it.

 

Had to edit this --- I'm getting too many things confused.
+ face punch thing can be avoided by pressing when she hits you. The reversal thing -- well, dont' get reversed by her much, so I wouldn't have known you could get out of it. She's got a down throw in Evo you can escape, but still get damage taken away (OS only I think).
