Evading rising attacks with Akira...

I´ve been thinking a ways to "evade" full spinning rising attacks with Akira, I´ve figured that it can be done by using with correct timing when opponents use (mid, not tested low yet) rising attacks.
I just wonder is there more simple way to do it? Does any one know?

 

that`s called interrupting, not evading. punch or low punch is quicker

 

Ignore PKG, he's smoking it. You can't interrupt rising attacks with jabs or low punches, you need an attack that does at least 20 pts of damage.

So anyway, are you talking about... going across the opponent's body so that their rising attack misses?

You can hop over, f+P over, and best of all use the DLC variant ... df+K+G --> P --> to get behind them. There's a great example of that in this clip:

there are a lot of akira videos, but you can't find a reliable web page that keeps old ones. Go to the media board, and the am sega thread. You'll see a lot of new posts each day in that thread. The new posts will have akira clips featuring guys like homestay, ohsu, and minami... one of them is bound to show off some okizeme tricks eventually.
