Yo, true, there's no official VF tournament but I'm playing some VF in my hotel room. Peeps that are down hit me up!

I would want to play but also I would bring my xbox360 arcade stick. you can PM me on how to find your room and I will give you my cell number and we can play the greatest fighting game released on a console my friend. ok cool I will bring my VF5 online disc and my SF4 TE arcade disc tomorrow morning. I will watch some of the Blazeblue tournament tomorrow but after that it's happy gaming

 

How have you guys got on? Have you seen/played much VF at EVO?

I gotta say, surely Sega must be gutted that their fighting game is not represented at possibly the biggest tournament in the world?

If they put out an updated console release they could have the glory, and all the stream views that would go with it.

It's insane.

 

Me and my boys had a little get together in the hotel room. Nothing to fancy but it was mad fun. Invited a few people up, a few were new but what can you do it's VF. I've been pulling some
favors to try and get an updated VF here in some shape or form for a tourney I'm throwing next year....chance in hell....definitely.

Good job Fuudo! that VF level mental is too much for them to handle!

 

Amazing come back Fuudo did! He deserved that!

 

Linking both the Poongko vs. Daigo match and Fuudo vs. Poongko (my favorite one). I think if you want to get into the Evo atmosphere at the time, you gotta watch the Daigo match before watching the Fuudo match.

Also, regarding Marvel vs. Capcom 3... It was fun to watch though Dark Phoenix is just too crazy strong...

But two things I loved in the MvC3 tournament:

1) In the Grand Finals, Tron makes an awesome comeback. Follow the link and go to 1:12 (that's, 1 hour and 12 minutes into the video) to see that sweet comeback. But to better appreciate it, you might want to watch another match before just to see how ridiculous the situation was when Tron made the comeback.

2) I recommend watching Combofiend's matches. Totally enjoyed watching his matches in the Top 32 making it to the Top 8. His Spencer is a show-stealer.

This was one hell of an event and the first major tournament I've been too in years! It's pretty awesome how the highest level of play can be appreciated by most players in just about any game. I can't stand AE but man was that match hype. Kind of wish I payed attention during MK too but I was too busy talking to clients on my cell. I had to leave because of all the hype so my client could hear me!

....I wish my client called during Tekken....that was the anti hype. Poor guy won Tekken raised his hand in victory and everyone just sighed practically.

Too bad the event was missing one thing that would have made it perfect. I'm pretty sure you all know where I'm getting at. The hype got me seriously wanting to compete again.

Next year is going to be insane imo, while there will always be tiers and superior strategies. I believe that with capcom rebalancing some things in AE, UMVC3 plus more we're going to be in for a real treat.

Well I'm out again until VF rears its beautiful head in the states!
