one of the main surpirises which came to mind when experiencing EVO is the chance to throw escape ground throws, so i have a few questions which probably won't take long to answer.

1> are all throws escapable including faced down, up, towards and away?

2> are the command inputs the same as the exicution? (most probably yes, but i'll ask any way)

3> can you perform multi-throw escapes for ground throws?

thx fer ur time.... i would'nt normally put this into an entire new thread, but perhaps it could give some room for disscution. mabye.

    laterz...

I recall hearing that face up, head towards was not escapeable, hence wolf's ground throw after f,d+K interrupts is always guaranteed. All others are probably escapeable, and I think I saw someone escape a goh ground face down, head towards throw in a recent movie (after a wall bounce).

2> are the command inputs the same as the exicution? (most probably yes, but i'll ask any way)

Meaning do you escape the throw by entering the same motion as the ground-thrower? Yes I think so. Goh can do the same ground throw with either d+P+G or df+P+G, and you must enter d+P+G or df+P+G based on what you think he will do.

3> can you double ground throw escape

No, I don't think so... defeats the purpose of giving the ground throwers two motions. Three motions is arguably hard to input, but 2 motions in a situation where you don't even need reflexes is pretty easy. You can definitely mash the same escape over and over though and get away with it.

The command is [P]+[K], but what you're seeing is Aoi's ground attack reversal rather than a ground throw escape. I think she's the only one who can do that.

    all are escapable...
it is also recommended that u mash the one escape command over and over not just to escape the ground throw, the the system will read the mashings as the player struggling to get up quick...

kill two birds with one stone aye~

oh and I read somwhere there are quite a noticeable differance in the time frame where you can input the escape for different character's ground throw so some are more difficult to escape.

I noticed Goh has this one ground throw ( u know..he picks up ur leg , twist it and step on it) that to me, was hard to escape for some odd reasons.

It's the only ground throw I never escaped b4 haha!

if you can escape the ground throw with the same impute as the throw itself why the hell does wolf even have ground throws? with only 1 direction ([3]) isn't it kinda pointless? (or am i missing something here?)

Wolf has both [2]+[P]+[G] and [3]+[P]+[G] attacks. They are useful, because your opponent can only do 1 escape attempt to keep from having it done to them. So in effect you have a 50/50 chance of it working.

For the record - all oppenents w/ ground throws (Aoi, Jeff, Wolf, and Goh) have the same inputs, and the same escapes. As per before - only one escape. It's 50/50 for any of them.

ok thanks ... i guess i was forgeting the old ground throw wolf had were he picks the guy up ... but i was looking at aoi's move list and it only shows [3] for her down throws (unless i'm looking at the wrong place???)
