A guy at a game center I frequent said I could take a VCR in and tape some games when Evo comes out. Won't be high level, but plenty of 4 to 8-dan fights, even though we'll all be in the kyu's still, I'm sure.

Just don't want to waste my time or bandwidth if people only want to see high level fights.

Okay. He's just got to figure out where the output on the machine is. I'd love to get some fights now, but there are too many people around. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Thank you GaijinPunch. I'm sure everyone will appreciate your efforts. Give my thanks to the arcade that's letting you do all this too.

if it's the same as the regular VF4 machine, the outputs are....

there are two rca jacks for audio out. video out is a standard vga connector. you'll need something that can convert and record a vga signal.

Hmm.... thanks for the input. VGA signal -- you mean like D-sub, yeah? Hmm.. I've got a capture card, but no VGA input, obviously. Wonder what they've got on the market that converts.

Bungler -- can you give me some more specifics. I got a VGA->Video converter, and I'm assuming it works fine. There was only one VGA out portion on the board, so I'm assuming that's it (it was near the bottom - as there was another one (two maybe) at the top that were being used. Also one red one white output for audio --- audio was still screwey. Looked like it recorded wrong. Doh!

Okay, I went back. Here's what I got this time.

    1: Good sound
2: Bad video. It's an S-Video deck, but I'm using the normal video input from the VGA->Video switch. It's got S-Video option, but I'm using a normal VHS tape, so I assume that I wouldn't need it.

Does anyone know if it would matter if it's not plugged in? From what I remember about S-Video, it seems that it tried to record in S-Video mode, on a normal video tape. Hmmm....
