(EVO) vs Pai's b,f,p+g & f,b,p+g... HELP!!

Most of the time when I fought Pai in Quest mode, she would try to get in the + or the +, then follow it up with the scissor kick ( ), and, I don't know if it's me that suck, but I always ate that scissor kick. And yet, when I played as Pai and used that combo, the CPU always managed to guard my scissor kick, even when my throw caused them to hit the wall and stagger. They recovered almost instantly, it's nearly inhuman. ("HEY, that's cheating!!") /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I tested out that malicious combo on myself in 'Free' training mode by using the 'Record' command, I executed the scissor kick as fast as I can, then hit 'Play'. And sure enough, I can easily block the scissor kick by simply tapping right before she jumps for the kick. But when I returned to fight the AI, it got me with that combo again! What gives!? I could swear I've got the timing right! (the stagger caused by the throw cannot be recovered, right?)

Am I really suck, or is this some evil way of the CPU to try and cheat?

 

The scissors kick after + is a guaranteed followup actually, you just have to input it as soon as you can move. Try mashing while holding while the throw animation ends to see the cpu eat it everytime /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif . Nothing is guaranteed after the + throw though, and you can't followup with after a wall stagger from +.
